True, its tempting! If it wouldve been the 149 tier I would've gone for it instantly, but I still need Amplitube to run this so yeah thats a though one (plus its another $15 I'm spending on Plugins lol)

Am i correct in thinking the fender expansion runs out of their free (custom amp shop?) app too? 15 for standalone fender emulation is nice, but not if i need to own Amplitube

Nope. AT 4 is not needed. The free AT CS will work. If you are a just preset guy, should be fine. But if you like to tweak the sound, getting AT 4 is worth it. IMO, half of the applications benefits and functionality compared to competitors of the AT ecosystem is the tweakability of the mics and rooms and the 3d modeling. I work with a lot of clean electric guitar (R&B, blues, funk) sounds so I tweak the room stuff a lot. Not sure if it's as useful for heavier sounds like metal or hard rock.

I don't recall Spitfire ever having a Halloween sale. They've done Black Friday sales if you can't wait for the holiday. They're really big on the holiday and if I recall correctly don't really like having to do the Black Friday thing.

Top tip. Put whatever you are keen on in your "want list" (or whatever it's called) on their site. They have a habit of offering discounts on the items on your personal list.
