really? how did you come to that conclusion?

i doubt software is going to be closer, not yet anyway
See the comparsion video from rob papen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hjyai6uq6s
u-he have done such a great work on repro, so if they could do that with the ms-20 I think they come closer than behringers k-2 oder korks ms-20 mini.

But also, as Sascha's work was mentioned, we've nailed a certain reverb
So what of this reverb? Is it going to be a standalone product or? Is it based on any of the classic reverbs or it's own thing? Anything you can share at all on this?
Can't name it, the makers of the original unit are notoriously suing the Behringers of this world. Best to not mention them at all.
Since everyone and their mother has Lexicon covered, that can only mean Quantec or Bricasti.

About the only ones currently not yet in everyone‘s plug-in folder...

Well Bricasti "emulation" is made by Liquidsonics and i dont think they are Behringers of this world :) unless U-he ment what i said that every software developer is a behringer :-D

Post

Are we sure it's a Bricasti? :D

We‘re not sure about anything and Urs would rather not say 🙃

You’re using quotation marks because it’s based on convolution, not algorithmic emulation?

So what would be the other hardware units with protective property owners?

Lexicon: everyone has done it.
EMT: at least PSP and UAD have that.
Eventide do their own software.
TC do their own and are owned by Behringer.
Yamaha?
Roland?
Sony?
Those three would fit the bill in regards to lawsuits. Not sure how desirable they are.
Alesis are more on the cheap side and probably not mainstream enough.

Looking at the Protoverb description, it seems to be based on the same idea as the Quantec. Not reflection from surfaces, but resonance of the air in a given room.

Ah, so Yardstick. :)

Man, some of those FAQ answers are downright douchey.

Hey Urs, what about the "promised" LFO for Runciter?

Yes, I have not forgotten your post from 2010.... :)
Urs wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2010 12:15 pm Uhbik was designed to complement SoundToys. I wouldn't dare to compete with them.

I'll also address some remaining issues in future updates: Really "lexical" presets for Uhbik-A, more "analogueish" phaser modes for P, an LFO for Runciter (dunno where to squeeze that in though), Hz-readout for Q - to name the most prominent requests.

That is definitely coming in 2.0

Yessss!!

Post

why can't you use an lfo in your host, you can have one on any parameter

Post

I'm pretty sure you'd revert that proposal once you've tried out 2.0 ;)
