This little program has saved me. I have mentioned problems with Tracktion on this board, which i contributed to bugs in newer versions.
One of the forum members brought my attention to this little program to change your PCI-latencies and all my problems are gone with the wind. For me a value of 64 for my graphics-card and 80 for my soundcard brought me back to Tracktion-heaven.
If you have problems with crackles and pops, get this program! It's free and if you want the new values to be saved after reboot you have to pay $ 10,00.

I also ordered it after reading the same thread. I dont notice huge improvements, then again I wasn't having major problems either. Some of my VSTIs crackle a bit but I think that it may be a fault in the VSTIs themselves - they were freebies. I would recommend this piece of software even if you are having no problems (it;s only $10). I am always tweaking my system in the search for the perfect pc setup. My wife always comments that I spend more time tweaking the system, trying to get it running at it's optimal level, than actually making music. She's right!

I've become something of an evangelist on the subject (but not as much as for Tracktion, of course!)

Yes I found this a few weeks ago and it has made my work PC more useable as a host machine. It has only marginally improved my Carillon - my DP24/96 but more noticeabl(haven't found the optimal setting yet I guess) when set at 96 fro the Rage Video card.
