Psuper wrote: Thu Oct 17, 2019 1:20 am One thing I learned about Apple: a majority of their users will buy whatever they make, no matter the cost, sing praises regardless of how great or terrible the product is, and rinse/repeat as long as their wallet holds up.
Where did you learn that from?
Is the dumb regurtitation of lies a skill one would need to learn?
I've been 'computing' longer than most of you have been potty trained, grew up in the apple and commodore era and spent my entire life in the from the lower to upper echelons of the industry -- I'm not asking you to agree.

I stated Mac users were loyal regardless of circumstances except money because Apple products are still overpriced and in a solid market share, even though not by as much these day. Of course some mac users can't help but chime in with actual disparaging comments since I wasn't overflowing with some sort of glowing 'attaboy!' spin to their endless wallet.

Another thing I learned: when the $$$ runs out, perspective typically follows for those who are teachable.
Well, I started out on a ZX81, and a schoolroom full of BBC Micro's. You aren't the only old c**t here...not by a long stretch

Like any other adult, my buying decisions are predicated on a balance between price, utility, and perceived value. I've had 12 years worth of Apple computers, including, all versions of Logic between 7 and X, and the total I've shelled out is 4000 quid. That's 333 quid per year. I'm pretty satisfied with that. But as a platform-agnostic, I've been dual-booting that entire time. If I ever wish to drop Logic, or if Apple Moving in a direction I don't approve of, I'll switch to Windows with zero issue.

Cheers :tu:

So you came to this conclusion based on the price of Apple products and their level of market share rather than any actual evidence that their customers behave this way?
By being intimately around many thousands of people in the industry over the past 30 years - something no google search will teach. As I mentioned, no need to agree, I know the deal.
So in other words it’s your subjective opinion.
Is there some sort of hard fact evidence you expected to be produced? Some social justice study interviewing thousands of Apple product users with a +/- 3% accuray rating?

Do yourself a favor, google "Apple products are superior and so are their users" - you'll feel much better about yourself than bantering with me - I'm a black hole of self-inflicted despair for people like you, fair warning.
Have you tried Vital?

Yes! Pointing out that a developer was condescending while sending an inappropriate email to paying customers constitutes "intolerance, gaslighting , racketeering and hostility".
No "el-bo", recommend or advice never constitutes those bad things (if my neighbor is in bad road, wouldn't I help him with some advice?), apple always does stuffs like this and they don't have consideration about the developers and compatibility, in addition to their bad politics of eliminating things as they wish is a real problem.

With all respect.
I just can't, anymore

I didn't got something from Apple about the update problem. I see some guys prefer Apples way of dealing with it. Don't speak about certain things.
Some people got butthurt because they felt their religion is insulted and someone invaded their safe space though some media article or dev just wrote their opinion. The intolerance, gaslighting , racketeering and hostility toward different opinion by their userbase are somewhat terrifying.

Define the inappropriate content in the email?

The intent of the email was inappropriate. The rest was just the sprinkles on the turd :tu:
However, given your accusations, it's not surprising you don't understand "inappropriate" :scared:

Who was the intent of the email inappropriate for? If it was appropriate for most users won't it be just your personal feeling that makes you think it's "inappropriate"?

Yes. That’s generally how statements are determined to be true or false.

Without any actual evidence to back up a statement it’s merely conjecture or uninformed guesswork.

Same here.

The more I think about it, the more bizarre it is that there are people here who are trying so hard to fit my behavior to a predetermined narrative, yet they know absolutely nothing about me personally.

I'm Windows user, and I invite you to read (or read again) what I wrote in that post at the end of the page 1, a post which received no reply while being one of the posts where it is possible to read a Windows user having neither critics nor sarcasms against the OSX users.

Well, there have been a few of us who seemed to have found it to be inappropriate. Not that the opinion of one person isn't valid, but perhaps you could give me an indication of how many agreeing opinions would be necessary for us to have the right to express our concerns :tu:

It's one of the unfortunate aspects of forums that sensible stuff seems to get ignored - but that's because no-one chose to disagree with it rather than it actually being ignored.
