Why would any business make a promise to work for free for life in the first place?

It doesn't have to for all companies but it works for some and is way more convenient, razonable and better for the end user, that's why sometimes works.masterhiggins wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 3:02 am Why would any business make a promise to work for free for life in the first place?
If you ask me (and I know this might provoke reactions of some people that have the mainstream Ozone) to choose between Ozone frequent releases and fees for upgrades or Mxxx, I would go for Mxxx anytime perhaps during some melda sales, I would pay ones, no need to pay over and over again, I would have already a complete set of tools for mastering and mixing at my disposal in one modular environment (and future modules added). Knowing I have a better deal with free lifetime upgrades my decision is already set.

I suppose if you judge the value of everything by the purchase price then you would probably come to that conclusion.

Sometimes yes and sometimes no, for me things have to make sense and be reasonable in first place, I don't care about how overhyped a product is or the popular "trendings", is about what it offers and why the price.masterhiggins wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 4:56 am I suppose if you judge the value of everything by the purchase price then you would probably come to that conclusion.
No so long time ago apple released Apple Stand for $1,000... just for a stand for monitor... Is not a joke, this is real and it has been the same for many apple products; and very often big corporation does stuffs like this because as long as many of the blind user base (not all of them) are always willing to put cash $€£ in the last apple trendings, all goes well, you know think different...

This monitor is targeting the professional video editing world, a market where monitors regularly cost 20 to 40k without a stand (these shops have mounts so generally no stand is needed in the first place). It’s easy to make fun of and harder to understand, like many things on the internet I suppose. Hate apples marketing approach all you want but your underlying argument isnt fully informed.JunSev wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 5:41 amSometimes yes and sometimes no, for me things have to make sense and be reasonable in first place, I don't care about how overhyped a product is or the popular "trendings", is about what it offers and why the price.masterhiggins wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 4:56 am I suppose if you judge the value of everything by the purchase price then you would probably come to that conclusion.

But in all seriousness, is there such a monitor? And that is what I would be interested in, not that I would buy one. That's beside the point.Haptix wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:07 amNo, I signed here so I could post a reply.Gamma-UT wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:02 amYou signed up here to ask about an expensive form of monitor you had no idea existed because you are interested in such a thing?Haptix wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 9:27 am I can not find any..then again I suck at googlingA monitor that costs 20k - 40k? The typical arrogant prick answers. Terrible poor behaviour towards new members here.Gamma-UT wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:30 am So you didn't "sign up" just to find a very expensive monitor.
Imagine my surprise.
If you don't have any accurate answers for the simple question he asked (obviously not) why you comment further with that bad attitude?

I take it you concur that the unnamed company bluntly lies to justify their own high (overpriced) prices..Gamma-UT wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:30 am So you didn't "sign up" just to find a very expensive monitor.

How do you come to that conclusion, oh happy new user who is primarily interested in expensive monitors?Haptix wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 11:14 amI take it you concur that the unnamed company bluntly lies to justify their own high (overpriced) prices..Gamma-UT wrote: Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:30 am So you didn't "sign up" just to find a very expensive monitor.
Imagine my surprise. And most of their clients blindly believes in those stories. Wonder if that is an isolated thing, or does that same apply to other stuff as well..
