Don't know how I missed this was nearly about to start another thread, but there is an app that works very well with Melda plugin's called V-Control and it's V-Window.
The v-window is the key, being able to change the size of the melda plugins to fit the screen, it makes working with them a breeze, some plugins are a bit to big to fit, but there is an adjust option in the app to move the plugin around on the ipad screen.
Even Mdrummer fits in to the screen and its a lot of fun to use in it, the loop editor is a bit hard to use but with a bit of tweeking it would be amazing.
Think it somthing that should be checked out.
If there was an app worth building, somthing like this would be perfect.

So... Maybe it's time to revise our opinion on whether the iPad is just a toy?
Touch screen is getting a lot more attention in music production now, and AR is next.
Personally, I think that the whole ethos, architecture and workflow of Melda has enormous potential in the touch interface and mobile market.
I probably ain't the only Melda user who would be very interested in a M(el)DAW, that would be the perfect purpose-built host and container for all the rest of the Melda modularity. The desktop DAW market is oversaturated and highly competitive, but there is still a vast unpopulated space in the mobile app segment. The Melda architecture might lend to a decent competitive edge in agility were the kernel adapted/optimized for ARM and UI for Vulkan/Metal. Perhaps the MDrummer base could be extended & expanded into a reasonably featureful and efficient (in context of what one expects from current mobile apps) generic MIDI sequencer. The third dimension offered by AR deserves some attention in production work too, and I think Melda's modularity and interoperation could be a strength in this domain as well. Not saying it's a trivial undertaking, or in Melda's interests, just food for thought, now or later. ;-)

I was wondering if there was a way for me to walk the sidewalks and cross the streets while totally unaware of the surroundings. A solution might be on the horizon !
Cheers.
Cheers.

I've been looking into control surfaces. Now, I have Maschine 2 and Novation SL2. Thought about touch but that's adding a new thing and I'm all about 'using what I got' for now.
So my question is, "What's the difference between a Melda app and something like TouchOSC or Lemur?" and "What could Melda bring to the table that existing solutions don't already provide?"
I can think of native multi-touch and a custom GUI but, then again, I'm not really using any touch music apps.
Just curious. The only bias I have is that I'd rather have Melda continuing as normal at a good rate of speed than beginning new projects. Other than that, I'm really just wondering.

I'm afraid iOS just won't happen folks sorry. Yet another problematic OS, just no dev time. Plus on PC side of things there are touchscreens for years, so wasting time on such a thing, just because Apple wants to sell more devices to their customers is out of question, sorry. And while I'd like a DAW, there's no dev time, so... Plus the market is already crowded with various DAWs often doing the same thing, so...
