There was a bug in an earlier version of Breeze 2.0/2.1 where this was the case as I remember. Please redownload 2.1 or 2.5b and reinstall. It should not be the case anymore.

Oh my god, finally I downloaded 2.5b and finally it's working properly, I never thought it was a bug I thought that was a design decision. It was annoying and even though I liked Breeze I didn't use it much, and not have a clear judgment on the sound. Now I already see it all over my projects already.
Now I also see the mix knob is working like it should. Great job on the 2.5 too love it already.
Thanks so much Andrew, keep up the great work.

Note in 2.5 if you use the Link Mode, where Mix changes to "Distance" etc, the Gain slider effects ONLY the wet/verb signal. If you use that with Global Broadcast, changing Gain is the effectively the same as increasing FX/Group/Bus gain for a verb on a send. i.e. if you have 50 instances of Breeze direct on tracks using Link mode, you can use Gain with Global broadcast to easily control the general tail level of the whole mix! VERY convenient for fine tuning!

that reminds me, I should adjust the parameter tracker to change the label in this case so that is clear to something like "Input Gain" vs "Wet Gain"

I have a bug to report on Mac 10.14.6, Studio One 4.5.3, Breeze 2.5.0 [263 Beta 2]. The popup window when you click on the preset section on the top opens at the bottom of the plugin as you can see on the image.

Hi Guys,

We have posted the release candidates for Breeze 2.5 and Precedence 1.5. Existing customers can find them here:

https://www.designersound.com/mydownloads

Changes since the last version:
  • Vastly less memory usage when using multiple/many instances.
  • Fixes for any/all remaining known issues with host stability in large, complex host sessions using many instances. We seem to be rock solid now in terms of stability for any size session even massive scoring projects with hundreds of instances. (This was the majority of the time spent -- there were one or two real head scratchers here the consumed lots of time!).
  • Increased custom menu sizes.
  • Correction to a minor "sub-optimal dsp design aspect" of Breeze which previously resulted in slightly more "mud" than is ideal in extreme modulation circumstances.
  • Additional performance gains of 15-20% on some CPUs.
There are no known issues remaining. This will be the official release version unless we hear about something we are not aware of within the next few days.

I can't find any info on how to upgrade from Breeze 1.
Update: If you select Breeze in the shop there's red text mentioning a Breeze 2 upgrade coupon! Took me a while to figure it out, but fair enough.

hmm... no, that is not known.

Does it persist if you close the GUI and reload it? Does this happen only when changing the GUI size? Cubase 10 has some issue (on Windows only I thought) where when changing the GUI, the GUI window size does not automatically resize unless you close and reopen the GUI. This does NOT happen in Cubase 9.5, so it seems a Cubase issue in Win10. Have not seen this on OSX.

So does this happen only when changing GUI sizes and does it remain if you close and reopen the GUI? how about closing and reopening the Cubase project? How about quitting and re-launching cubase and reloading the project? Is it always there?

This is known, and it is host specific and specific to Retina displays. IN Logic the menu is more or less in the correct place. In Cubase OSX it is not as you see. we will replace this system menu with a custom menu tree-browser in a future update and then it will be in exactly as we spec it.

i recorded a video to answer all your questions, Andrew. Please, have a look

Yes, OK. So basically if you close and open the GUI after the GUI resize there is no issue, correct?

We have seen this with Cubase 10 on Win10, but I don't see it on OSX, but I am not using a retina display -- i'm using a 4K TV. Do you have Cubase 9.5 installed? Does it happen there? (It does not on Win10).

yes. sorry, i don't have cubase 9.5 so can't check.
Also, i have another problem:

i use external non-retina screen attached via DVI-D to USB-C it has 1680-1050 resolution, when i switch screens between retina and non-retina, the plugins size is inconsistent so its super uncomfortable to work with because u have to adjust gui size every time you switch between external and retina screens. This problem didnt exist before this update.

here is the video showing the problem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGcgXXf ... e=youtu.be
so i have the question, can u implement some kind of a mechanism to force the plugin to keep GUI proportions when switching between screens with different resolutions?

Got the "Failed to find suitable audio plug-in module for target cpu (CPU ISA = 7). Plug-In will not load."

Thing is I just re-install my OS but Breeze 2.5 RC was working fine before. Tried installing the latest vc redist but still got the problem. Version 2.1 is working fine. I did install as Admin. Win 10 latest, Bitwig.
