Yeah, Rich has asked me to do it so I definitely will, as soon as I can find the time. i.e. It could be a while.

Agree. Never had issues with vst3 and nothing shows twice (assuming you guys installed vst2 and vst3 hence synths or fxs come up twice!) just pick during installation vst3 and thats it!

Why pick VST3? Why not stick with VST2? Give me a reason to choose VST3 over VST 2, so far I am not seeing anything at all.

When has that ever mattered? All my VST 2 plugins continue to work and none of the VST 3 versions I have installed do anything better or different.

That's not true at all. DUNE 3 is DUNE 3, VST 2 or VST 3 makes no difference whatsoever.

If I know for a fact that there is no advantage in VST 3, which seems to be the case, I would only install the VST 2 version. For the last few months that has been the way I've been doing things, good to see that it was the right call.

Why? I think a better idea would be for developers to ignore it and force Steinberg to make something that's actually, measurably better, not just different.

Even better, someone come up with a license-free, open-source, cross-platform format for plugins.

I don't have any VST3 plugins, my DAW doesn't even support them. And all my VST2 stuff plays just fine. And it probably still will 10 years from now.

it's a great skin, it came with his dune3 soundset; i think it's now separate on the site. the soundset's really strong, btw...
