Hey folks,

I have been playing ith my shiny new downloaded copy of tracktion, but i have immediately hit a problem. Well, not a problem really, but something confusing me.

I have set the option for the timeline to be Bars/Beats , but somehow it doesn't seem to be breaking it into bars of 8 beats, instaed it seems to be 10.

I hope that makes some kind of sense. In other words, it has big visible break at the start, then sub-divisions hat are grouped by 10, not 8.

I must be doing something badly wrong here, i'm very confused and it may be weed-induced ever so slightly

Cheers in advance for any help :D

Dont you mean that its breaking down the beats into 10 bars ? ,Ifso life is such and just be thankful it wasn't twelve bars for all the rockers   ,I personally would like to see this revised in T in the future maybe some kind of clock so we could see how long our track is aswell ,I haven't tried but maybe you could lay down 8 bar 16 bar and so on markers :?:

Hi

What T is actually doing is breaking down the arrangement into bars (each of which is 4 beats long, unless you have changed the time signature). But T highlights every 10 bars - in cubase it always used to highlight the 1, 5, 9 13 etc - every 4 bars.

Now unless you can't count I don't think that is a serious problem myself....

I seem to be following Nu Audio Science around.....
...and so it goes (Kurt Vonnegut)

Yeah its not a show-stopper or anything, but nearly every other host i've used did it the way you said - 1,5,9,13 etc.

I tried to find an option but didn't see one anywhere. Be nice to be able to change that.

Try placing the cursor(mouse arrow)in the center of the screen, now roll your scroll wheel foward(away from you and toward the screen)until you can see the bars numbered. While you're scrollin' watch the timeline at the top and a popup will tell you what resolution you are currently at. I normally use 1/8 of a beat. If this doesn't make sense it's allmost surely because of weed..................

Robert T,

Since the US gubmint now has email-sniffing Carnivore boxes, reporting any findings into its master databases, in real time, and since this is a public forum (never know who's reading), you might want to avoid repeated and thinly veiled references to possession and/or usage of illegal substances, even the harmless, but in many ways beneficial hemp plant.

The Total Information Awareness program was established under the PATRIOT Act, and is brought to you by DARPA--the actual inventors of the Internet. The TIA program maintains a computerized profile of the intimate details of every citizen's private life. Every purchase you make with a credit card, every magazine subscription you buy and medical prescription you fill, every Web site you visit and e-mail you send or receive, every academic grade you receive, every bank deposit you make, every trip you book and every event you attend — all these transactions and communications go into a centralized grand database.

The Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution says: "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

This actually used to mean something, now it's just more antiquated irrelevant bullshit. Keep your guns loaded brothers, our time is coming soon. It's not a question of if, only when.
