yeah, not for me either.
The new waves central supports multiple versions, I just tested and had no issues so I guess they learnt from the last time

So if I only need 2 plug-ins within a bundle, it would make more sense in terms of future upgrade prices to buy just the single plug-ins instead of the whole bundle with many plug-ins (which I don't use, but for which I have to pay for updates), right?
You must WUP the whole bundle

I don't know if V11 came so soon because of the Catalina mess or whatever, but as a Windows user without Renaissance plugins, this update doesn't come with much value.

I have several plugins in the Waves wishlist but if I buy anything more, that comes with V11 and would bring the multiple version headache.
I'll cling to V10 for as much as I possibly can, which literally means I can't buy further Waves plugins :scared:

At least I got Scheps73 (usual $29 deal) last week just before the doors closed.
That's one hell of a plugin :drunk:

It's actually 1 year, not 3.
I wish it was 3 :hihi:
It really works well to have both 10 and 11 with the new waves central. I expected a big mess but it worked flawlessly to my surprise.

I’m up for a major Mac refresh. My current ones date back to 2011-2012, so when I get some new Catalina Macs now, I’ll stay on Waves v11 for another five or more years. No more WUP for me.

The same here on my main machine (MacPro with High Sierra): Waves V9, V10 and V11 all work fine so far. Upgrading was easy too.

That's very good to know.
I admit I didn't give Waves the benefit of the doubt, assuming this would treat V10 the same way V9 was treated last year.

I just hope they'll keep it up in WavesCentral when V12 comes.
It's ok to not receive updates for older versions, but I don't understand why WaveCentral shouldn't at least be able to "see" those older versions in the account and connect to the servers to download the installers.

Well, at least things seem to have improved a bit over the last time.

Limited my Waves purchases to cheap stuff. Last updates broke all for me so I just binned all Waves and moved on.

Doubly happy about the decision now.
I like Yoad from his Sonic state appearances, but Waves policies are no no for me.

Thank you, sir for this information!

No issues here, only had a few plugins with active WUP and updated them to 11. New Waves Central indeed seems to support both v10 and v11.

Niowiad wrote: Mon Oct 28, 2019 11:47 pm On another note... the Release Note mentions "Improved: Smoother plugin controls movement with the mouse", I wonder if they're also referring to the Puigtec which I like as an EQ but has the worst response for the knobs with the mouse I've ever seen anywhere in the entire software realm.
I can definitely vouch for the issue with the Puigtec EQ's. Using the VST3 version eliminated the problem for me.

Is this really the case, i.e. the V9 doesn’t require a separate offline file?

If you have any current WUP plugins, then update to latest versions on the website first then it happens in Waves Central.

In my opinion Waves are/ have

- old plugin algos
- no GUI resizability
- missing comfort options, for example different quality choices for running processes and rendering
- missing multi-core optimization
- over complicated installer process
- a terrible license management.
- completely outdated in most aspects comparing to the rest of the industry
- are resting on their decades old reputation
- are annoying
- are not further supported by me

Cheers
