SOmetimes I like to Alt Click an event to duplicate it and then move it into place, but I did this earlier, and I didn't quite move it far enough off the original MIDI clip and where I dropped it , it cut the original . Now in Cubase 9.5 and prior versions , when I did this is would just sit on top of other events and not cut them.
How can I get it back to that ?

Not 100% on your wording, but if you mean notes in the event are cut, it would follow the Preference Split MIDI Notes. Deactivate that in Editing/MIDI prefs for the other behavior, which is the notes inside that event are not cut but stick out, where you may need to re-set the boundary accordingly.

THanks, ive done that, hopefully it works, its not a major issue, its just not the way im used to working. But I can actually see with audio how it would be a benefit. . . loljancivil wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2019 5:51 pm Not 100% on your wording, but if you mean notes in the event are cut, it would follow the Preference Split MIDI Notes. It actually wasn't MIDI Split notes, there is an option in Editing called "Delete Overlaps" cant recall seeing it before, anyway, that was causing it. All sorted now.
