OK, so I am loving these HY MIDI tools! They look amazing, shame there are not more videos for them.
But can anyone recommend their favourite tool for chord progressions? Please.
I already know of Captain and Scaler.

Captain C is the fastest one I know of to get on with, with its large library of easy, popular stuff.
The Big Daddy, though, in my experience, is definitely Rapid Composer…which isn't rapid at all, without some study. But it is deeply flexible and much better at bending other MIDI to match existing progressions. And existing rhythms. Plus it's a magnificently musical tool for varying existing MIDI phrases in many other ways.
Here's my intro videos on it:

Thanks I will look more into this one. I did give it a brief look at one time, but decided it needed a lot of my time (which I didnt have to spare)
I must say though, I just discovered something new this evening and......it got an instant purchase! On £16, I can not argue with that! Don't let the low price point put you off, it is very deep.
J74 progression.

Not that I am aware of.David wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2019 7:20 pm Are any of the HY devices actually arpeggiators or able to do that? I've tried all the free versions, I think, and don't recall seeing that option, but certainly could have missed it.
HY makes the best and most advanced sequencers on the market, super recommended, but they are not arpeggiators. Unless I've also been missing something huge.

David,David wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2019 5:04 pm propose Reaktor as the most powerful MIDI plugin processor that's current, non-beta, and unlikely to be abandoned. It's got both an amazing hoard of existing User Library MIDI FX (UL Search: arpeggiator: 64 results) and all the tools needed to build more, link existing devices together and modulate basically anything.
Could not locate the "Midi FX" in Reaktor User Library to add to this list.

Lots of overlap and the deeper in, the less relevant, but some unique results in each…
UL: arpeggiator
UL: MIDI out
UL: MIDI seq

Anyone considering Captain Chords should be aware of Tracktion, too, I think (sure, it's a daw not a plugin, but with a MIDI Loopback device, it can pretty much act like a plugin)…
Plus, it's a DAW! With lots of other interesting features for about the same price as CC:

Gotta say Waveform looks good.
Wonder which DAW has the best midi chord track and midi composition tools.

Aren't the Captain products the ones that need an online connection back to their server for full functionality? Or has that changed / am I wrong?

But there's still plenty of punch and promise out there in the [NOT only an] arp-plugin world. Loomer Architect will hopefully be the king of the MIDI hill soon-ish,
I love Modular Synths
And modular Midi plugins
Thank You
I don't know this one before

…and the J74 Arp is definitely world-class, IF you've got Max for Live/Live:jmg8 wrote: Wed Oct 30, 2019 10:42 pm …
