Putting NI synths into MSF? (Massive for example)

Would this be possible? To get the sounds of another synth into MSF, or how to emulate them?

Someone said once that white noise contains all the information of all the different harmonies. MSF is like white-noise, just in synth-land (almost).

With MSF you can copy almost any Synth and it´s functions, BUT it may not sound exactly the same. Especially when it comes to Filter the sound may differ from synth to synth.

But when you got a tool that is most powerfull than most Melda Plugins the question shifts suddenly to the core question:"How is e.g. Massive behaving in Filter, Envelope, Oscillator,..?" Because now as you have a tool that is flexible as a rubberband, knowing how you want to bend it, and what you need to do to get the ability to do it, is a whole other question.

Long story short: To get Massive sounds into MSF; The first and probablly the most important step is to import the Massive Wavetables into MSF. If you ain´t got any, I recommend download the Serum/Massive X Demo and just snag the WT´s. X got some OG Massive WT aswell.

I was trying to match the unison sound between Massive and MSF Oscillator. They appear to use fundamentally different ways to achieve it, based on stereo analysis.

While I don't remember exactly, I think I set the Global Quality to Medium, Voice Restart Mode to Brutal or Restart, turned off Allow Oversampling and Allow Antialiasing, Unison Mode to Basic, and I don't remember about the Phase.

Essentially, Massive's unison seems very rudimentary when compared to MSF. The sound is different - more flat, upfront and 'old school' 2009-sounding in terms of the stereo spread. It's got a cool sound but MSF definitely wants to sound more textured, nuanced and new unless I'm doing something wrong.

There is no doubt, I believe you. There are always some differncies bettween synths. Unfortunatly I don´t own Massive so I can´t try.
But with small things like that we have to deal, because Massive isn´t MSF and MSF isn´t Massive. Although MSF covers more of Massive than vice-versa....

One last thing, have you tried the different Unison Modes and Phase Modes in MSF? Some of them are more rudimentary and others are more optimized.

Yes, they are definitely different, I agree. Also, yes I did try the modes and phase and found Basic to be most Massive-like but I don't remember which Phase setting I used. It's nice to have options!
