I'm heavily into Minimal Techno, but this is one graphical theme that is too minimal for medistomen wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 2:51 pm I also have an old mac pro mid 2010 macOS High Sierra and it doesn't work for me either.

Hmmm more like 3.0.4 I would say. Is this the big MIDI update?
I was expecting something more like maybe an simplified, integrated Loomer Architect or Pure Data-like clone with a BWS GUI, after them making all those big "MIDI"-workflow promises, like "a MIDI-grid".
Cubase 10.5 it is.
Scratchpad 3.0.3, a nice version number to keep.

What scales? There's just some new (micro)tuning device that's useful to perhaps 1% of the user-baseRandall P. McMurphy wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:36 pm I'm so happy about the scales!!! When I read the changelog I thought about a "half-a-whole-note" duration and that's what it is. I just tried it with a 2-bar note. Play at 2.3 but not pass that. That's perfectly fine by me.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 2:31 pmI posted at the same time and hadn't thought of this. But I doubt they mean half a whole-note. That would probably be better. Though sometimes not.neverbeeninariot wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 2:29 pmNot sure if this reads as 'half-the-note duration' or 'half-a-whole-note duration'. Either way, if a note is under the play cursor when playback starts, it should chase, IMO.
- Note Chase option: when enabled (Dashboard > Behavior > Resume Playback), starting the transport in the middle of a note will sound the note (if more than a half-note duration remains)

Didn't think they'd ever add it, but they did. Complete madlads.
Anyway, somewhat disappointed that more clip colours (that were shown in the fake leak of 3.1) weren't added, however.

To the trash it went. Grey screen (mac, force quit) like some other users in this thread.
I can see myself using the Micro-pitch thingamajig, because I like some chaos, and wavetables in Sampler. Note Chase is nice (if it works, can't try it) but overall It's a meh update in the new category IMO. I was really hoping, like many others as per the poll in this forum, that this would be more of an all around "traditional" (composer, workflow related) update. Sure, with a Bitwig twist and a new device or two, that would be awesome. Don't get me wrong, I don't want BWS to become Logic/Cubase/ect, not at all, but just the bare minimum like quick comping (or by any other name) for example, would be f****** great and actually speed up my workflow.
Improvements and fixes are always welcome but basically this update will not speed up my workflow which is ultimately what I would like to see before more BWS glitter.

Anyone else notice this BTW? Just me? I gotta email the devs about this. Bitwig won't update an audio file if I edit it in another application, even if I delete it from Bitwig completely and drag it back in, it's kinda driving me nuts lately. A workaround is to rename it so Bitwig treats it like a new file but that isn't always convenient.
Also, when loading a Sampler instrument with a crap load of samples it would be nice if they took a page from KONTAKT (whatever it's doing) to reduce loading times. Sometimes I have to walk away and do something else while waiting for the Sampler (or Samplers) to load my creations. A work around is to break up my creations (or go in a delete the samples inside Sampler/s for that project) into chunks so I'm only using the Samples I need at that that given moment, a purge function in Sampler could be useful as well.

Do you have an older Mac as well? What type of GPU does it have? Mine is an old pre-Metal NVIDIA GeForce GT 120. The release notes mentioned some tweaks to improve (hah!) the graphics performance...JHernandez wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 5:49 pm To the trash it went. Is there no demo mode anymore? Or was that never a thing with betas? My update plan is expired, and while I can download the beta and install it, I can't run it.
