tucked into the 'Improvements' category:
"Mac: reduced GPU (graphics processing) load"
Hmmmmmm, could this be the fix to the 'always running fan' issue I've been complaining about for 3+ years?
I don't even own bitwig currently due, yes, to that issue (I can't work on mixing and sound design with my mac fan running at full blast, sorry) so if anybody on iMac can let me know, thanks!

Yeah, Mac Pro Cheese Gratercarlca wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 5:57 pmDo you have an older Mac as well? What type of GPU does it have? Mine is an old pre-Metal NVIDIA GeForce GT 120. The release notes mentioned some tweaks to improve (hah!) the graphics performance...JHernandez wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 5:49 pm To the trash it went. Grey screen (mac, force quit) like some other users in this thread.
Edit: I don't have any graphic related problems though. Never did on this machine. I usually see that from the macbook, mini, and imac peeps.

Ah. I think I remember seeing that before. Forgot. Sorry. I might suggest that they probably shouldn't make it downloadable if you can't run it.

So we can de-tune our synths but still can't tune our guitars, eh?
Don't get me wrong, fine grained pitch control is cool, but am the only person in the world who thinks it'd be handy to have a built-in Chromatic Tuner device? So, like the marketing says, we can be properly "tuned up" without needing plugins or external programs.

Great. The microctuning is a small step for bitwig, but a leap for mankind.

But there are so many free tuners (MTuner is free, midi out and polyphonic!) that I cant see any advantage at all of having it as a rack device 'unless' it 'also' does fast pitch to midi or something coolEmmetPDX wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:53 pm So we can de-tune our synths but still can't tune our guitars, eh?![]()

You need an active upgrade plan to use the betas (as they run, you can save etc.) but as soon as the beta is done you will be bale to demo it as the latest version (with demo save restrictions etc)jonljacobi wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:05 pm Is there no demo mode anymore? Yes also really fun!
I really like the update.
I cant get the Micropitch to do anything though. I dont hear any difference. Haha. Maybe my ears arent finetuned enough.

It only works with bitwig synths and MPE synths with MPE enabled.stufflin wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:24 pmYes also really fun!

Also a lot of the scales are very subtle, if you want to check it’s working dual in some big nasty scale changes
