In this video I'll show you how you can modulate the start position of a sample and a few other tricks that aren't so obvious. Hopefully this will help people learn some of the note so obvious features of the sampler module.

DITTO—BRAVO!! Exactly what's needed: MORE videos on this amazing Sampler, inside the unparalleled MSF treasure palace, SO many rooms still unexplored. Thank you!!

May I propose that for the next (hopefully soonish!) sampler video, you focus on basic settings for importing named multi-samples, that aren't sfzs? Sfzs are the only multi-samples I've had even remotely useful results with (quite good actually!) so far. But with plain old sample collections with pitches in the name, so far I'm finding this a complete mess. I'm hoping this is either because I don't get the options on Import, or because there a naming convention that I can use to improve the resuts by renaming the samples, or both. But a step by step guide would be much appreciated!
Here's what looks to me like a pretty conventionally named bunch of samples (some free ones from the main guy at Spitfire, incidentally).

I can get nowhere with these; here's example results trying to let MSF detect the samples (1-check the mis-ordered pitch names), asking it to use the suffixes (2), and trying out the first layering option, at random, just to see if that could be a help (3) (clearly not!)

Is anybody else getting better results, and can offer some clues before more detailed instructions arrive? TIA!
And PS: I'm really loving the sampler when I use sfzs! MSF's a great environment for them, obviously:)

Thanks everyone, I will be doing more videos on the sampler in the future, but I might take a break from it this week. I'll try to get to how to import samples soon though.

A patch I have published back in October: viewtopic.php?f=138&t=533126
It combines:
1. S&H module to pick the position - imagine you could have multiple play-positions ... then this could be base of a granular sort of patch and
2. Manual playback speed control by an Envelope, which drives the "play head" from the picked position to play back in the keys pitch.
Have fun ...
