a few MAutoDynamicEq questions

HI, MAutoDynamicEq looks pretty powerful but I still have a few questions
I have seen the pitch following video tute using a bass sound so that the eq tracks the bass as it changes pitch, uses harmonics and so on. Can MAutoDynamicEq do that but apply the tracked bass pitch to another track so that the bass eq frequencies and harmonics are ducked on the other track? eg duck a pad at the pitch tracked changing bass frequencies (I guess as some sort of sidechain process maybe)
Also I have seen for MAutoDynamicEq (and fabfilter proq3 and others) being able to overlay spectra from different tracks so that one can see frequencies where the tracks significantly overlap. Can MAutoDynamicEq do that? (much that same MMultiAnalyzzer can)

Yes to the first question. Simply open the modulator and select the pitch tab and switch on the sidechain button. This will now follow the pitch of the sidechain input. I would use MSpectralDynamics for this task though. It will duck the exact frequencies found in the pitch changing bass from the pad. No need to try and follow the pitch of the bass and match its shape. Also, the MSD will work for polyphonic material too.
As for the second question. Unfortunately, no. There is something coming in the future that will solve this kind of thing. But for now, you can use MMultiAnalyser.

The resonance feature of MautodynamicEq could be more powerful. It always just notches the found frequencies.
Tdr Nova ge adds peak filters, but with different q and gain reduction. Some tweaks and you’re done. It also does it for dynamic resonance equing with different attack and release times.
MautodynamicEq needs much changes afterwards, like changing the notch filters into peak filters with different q and gain reduction. Is there a faster way? Mspectral dynamics isn’t the answer cause it uses the same attack and release for the whole spectrum.

MSD does not have the same attack and release for the whole spectrum. You can draw any shape you want, just like with the threshold.
Also it seems a bit off this topic, but no worries, I guess. I agree there is an extra step when using the resonance thing, but not so bad, if you save the MP as a preset, it is pretty fast. Plus then you have the option to make them dynamic also, which is pretty cool.

Looking around some more I think sonible smartcomp may do this spectral ducking as well

Smart comp looks quite a good plugin. I like some of the features in there. But be warned, the spectral part is a very small part of the plugin and there are only like 2 (or around there) controls for it, so the flexibility for the spectral part will be very limited. That being said, some of the other stuff in there looks nice and the workflow looks good too.

jmg: But I don´t want the same q, gain reduction and so on for every frequency, cause every resonance needs a different treatment, which MP´s can´t do in this way, cause it changes for every signal. One preset can´t do the job!
And working with different attacks and release times inside MSpectraldynamics could get realy fiddly for different frequency resonsances. And is there a way to find the resonances automatically inside Mspectraldynamics or will I do it by sidechain?
