The deal is now live: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... -products-
So I guess it's not a pricing error? Or if it is, hopefully we'll find out tomorrow. Last year PB sent out a "correction" the next day....
It's the same price when I log into iZotope itself, so it is real.
Bought it yesterday, got my SN's right away.

Soundtheory has 30% off on Gullfoss
Best of the best :tu:
I wonder if competition from Gullfoss, Spiff, and others has inspired Izotope to put up that crazy sale. (Neutron seems to have been receiving most praise for its transient shaper, but Spiff seems significantly better.)
Nah I don’t think Izotope sees them as direct competition. 9 out of 10 people will still go for the big shiny bundle over the 1 rather specialist plugin.

On another note, it’s worth mentioning that if you buy Gullfoss discounted, it becomes NFR.

They are a very generous and helpful company in terms of grace periods and licensing issues. :tu:
Not had to use tech support so can't comment on that.

Same here :tu:

Free upgrade to MPS 3, that is.
Don’t know if there’s an MPS 3.1 though.

Hi Uncle E, I just ordered XLN Audio - XO from your shop. Thank you. :tu:
Sorry for being impatient, but by when can I expect the product key?

I got an email saying:
This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available.
Not worrying, just a bit too excited. :)
I may be misremembering but have a look in your JRR account - I think it appears almost immediately.
Thanks, yes, it's true for most cases. This time it did not appear in the account and email for an hour, so thought to check. I wonder how it all works rather fast. :) All is well now, got the product key a few hours later. :tu:

I doubt it, they are all one-trick ponies, where iZotope offer far more complete solutions. I'd say it is much more about market saturation than competition.

Decided Scaler was cheap enough now to buy even though I can't demo the updated version. It's interesting, but its scale detection still drastically underweights the tonic and treats likely accidentals as scale notes. For example, midi notes C Bb G B G, with the B note significantly shorter than the others and the G notes significantly longer, gets top suggestions "C Lydian #6" and "C Lydian #2 #6". The next highest ranked suggestions are "A# Super-Locrian Diminished bb3 scale", "A# Locrian Diminished bb3 scale", and "A# Locrian Diminished bb3". After that, the suggestions are "B Double Harmonic Major scale", "B Neapolotian Minor Scale", and "B Persian scale"---making the accidental the tonic! Then finally it suggests a scale with G as the tonic---but it's "G Ionian Augmented #2", which assumes an augmented fifth (D#) for no apparent reason.

OTOH its list of matching chords from unusual scales provides some interesting suggestions, for example C7(sus2 b5) and C7(sus2)#11.

[Edit: and the list of chord progressions for different genres is ridiculously small.]
