MTuner - newbie Can't Get It Working

I'm unclear how MTuner works in Cakewalk Sonar X3. I have an audio track, and add the MTuner plug-in, where I get the user-interface. I see that the audio sound is being recognized, though no converted audio (my voice is all that is heard, not an instrument).
How do I convert the audio to MIDI?
Thanks.

It appears at the midi output of the plug. Don't use Sonar - easy in FL Studio.

I tried to take a look for you in Sonar, but it wasn't obvious to me how to do it. My advice would be to contact their support and/or look in Cakewalk forum to find out how to do it. I'm pretty sure it should be possible.
BTW, Cakewalk is free now! Why are you on version 3? If you go to Bandlab you can download the latest version for free and they are working on it still! They just released an update this month with new features and bug fixes etc.
Pretty cool for a free DAW I'd say.

I don't see the MIDI option on the VST drop-down menu (not VST 2). Only the Load/Save Presets and Banks, randomize and Plug-In Properties. That is is X3. Not sure if that matters.
Thanks.

It may have been added in a newer version.hatflyer wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:18 pm I don't see the MIDI option on the VST drop-down menu (not VST 2). Only the Load/Save Presets and Banks, randomize and Plug-In Properties. That is is X3. Not sure if that matters.

Are you able to update?

I downloaded BandLab and the MIDI output is there. I'm still confused how to then link the output of this audio track to a MIDI track.jmg8 wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:45 pmIt may have been added in a newer version.hatflyer wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 6:18 pm I don't see the MIDI option on the VST drop-down menu (not VST 2). That's what I did. Do you simply hit play and the MIDI notes will show up there, or is there another step? Record on the MIDI track? What do you set as output of the audio track?NTO wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2019 10:00 pm Set the input on the track you want to drive.

Wasn't, but yes, works.
Mixer - master - default audio device.
