Re ANA2 I read you can get an extra 10% off if you subscribe to the newsletter. I have been for years so where do I find my discount code?

Thanks for the C.M. information: I'm now hoping to get a copy of the Bitwig 8-track that was offered in issue 264 of C.M. 8-track does not seem to be part of the current 'standard' set of free C.M. software: if I buy the back issue online, am I likely to get 8-track with it (via Filesolo)?

Thanks once again.

Don’t know for sure (I’m currently on the road and can’t check on my PC), but as long as it was not a time limited item (it would say it in the magazine) then you should be able to download it.

If you purchase via the app I wonder if that's the only way to view them?
I don't have a tablet so would want to read them on my Windows PC.
I don’t think you can based on this FAQ: https://www.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk/ ... p/faq.html

I don’t think you can get any PC based access without using Zinio which is a different subscription.

Completely surprised what amount of sample treasures I already have on my hard disk...
By the way: this is a gem for non-drum samples...
Where it the best price?

Currently MAC only, but they're working on a Windows version.

^^^ It's available for Windows, Mac and Linux. That's what it says on their home page (bottom).
Anyway, how is it with big collection e.g. 50GB and higher?

What makes you think they're about to release a new version? I was eyeing purchasing 4.5 on this BF sale. Not familiar with their release schedule, but don't they still have 4.6, 4.7, etc., left to go?

Oops, oversaw that.
My collection is around 450.000 samples and it takes some time to initialize it when starting. There maybe some short cuts but I'm too fresh with this program to say. However, the similarity search looks quite promising, the different categories and the immediate playability of the samples brings in a sense of treasure hunt feeling which I like. There's a 30days trial period.

All those samples in weird nooks of my hard drive might stand a chance of actually being used now!
Jumped on that too. I have so, so many drum machine type plugins (I'd just bought the Accusonus Beat Making bundle too lol), but it was the reusability of existing samples that this offered that intrigued me most. Like many of us on here I'm sure I grabbed all the free classic drum machine sample packs off Reverb.com and I had many other hits and loops kicking around that go undiscovered.
Bought that and Xils-Lab Oxium (absolute steal at $29) last couple of days and feel those were really good value and I've never seen them at these low prices any other time.

Are you safe?

LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2019 5:37 pm CM Magazine subscription at Pocketmags is indeed tempting. I love the masterclass videos they include in them.

Is FutureMusic magazine any better?
They're pretty equivalent, but there are some differences:

- CM seems more aligned with Drum and Bass, Dubstep and EDM producers, which you'll see in their choices of tutorials and interviews
- CM covers software how-tos, reviews, etc. U-he, Serum, Sylenth1, etc.
- FM is much more Techno/House oriented. Some really great interviews with techno DJs and producers
- FM is hardware. You'll find your Modular, Elektron, Sequential, Novation stuff here.
