You did not expected it to be different this time, thats why it was clearly written for people like you, and i just posted you the printscreens. I just gave you the proof that Vengeance did handled the communication right and you still say its not your fault :dog:
You are being really thick! Just to make it easy enough for you to understand I also took some screen shots in the correct order. My Screen shots show the procedure to buy expansion pack. There is as you say mentioned that I need to upgrade to 1.5 and as I said before, I didn't think anything of it because it was so easy before. Please tell me where I was supposed to see anything about Codemeter starting from choosing my expansion pack until payment? There is nowhere that is mentioned. It is ONLY mentioned once I enter my user area to download the new installers. By that time I ALREADY made the expansion pack purchase. Image 1.jpg

Image 2.jpgImage 1.jpg

My critisism was simply that such a major change should have been clearly communicated to users by e-mail, try to make sure everyone knew about it. It's easy!
When you go to vengeance account of yours, it says IMPORTANT :)
It says-
WELCOME TO VPS AVENGER CUSTOMER CENTER.
PLEASE ENTER YOUR ACTIVATION CODE TO REGISTER YOUR PLUGIN.

IMPORTANT:
Download and install the CodeMeter software
before you activate your VPS Avenger license (by clicking on "Manage Activations")

Nothing about deleting everything, re-downloading and re-installing everything. Also, that CodeMeter software really is not the easiest thing to understand/use- I much prefer iLok (and I don't like iLok!). All in all, knowing what I know now, I probably wound not have bothered updating.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

PPS wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 8:58 am hi i don' call me premium i called me a platinum producer and songwriter cause it s what i am. i have 1 platinum 6 golds and 2 silver certified records in europe...
That doesnt makes you a better User at least. So when people mention their "status" of success i always find that a bit funny. Shall i tell you that i am a Viva Comet winner and have an Echo Nomination? Was working for Warner, Sony, EMI, Universal and Armada Music.

Does this make my words now more right or more wrong?
Just to clear why i wrote, what i wrote. :) Cheers.
Hi, no you're right but i would find normal that you can write here that you are in studio for Sony music and couldn't record cause of the missing sounds on avenger ... i wrote that i'm a platinum producer to show that it can be really annoying for professionals like you and me dealing with top companies and you can't do a correct session with someone who's paying you because nobody tells you that you have to redownload all the expansions... It was just a professional thought... i consider myself equally to all other musicians and users don't worry it was just to point that professionals use this sounds for Album tracks and the company is supposed to care about this kind of problems and send emails to their customers when something can lead avenger synth to be unfunctionnal... story for my english.... regards

well it was clear that you have to update the factory content with the update (6,5GB)
now also downloading some XPs with 300MB - 1GB, should not be a problem? At least not now, since the servers are back to good DL speed. I had minor updates in Games in Steam which had 60GB or more and added nothing new. So we really did not think this is a major problem for anyone. In doubt the old rule is still vaild, like some here already mentioned: dont do major updates when right inside an important project. Always finish it first. However, is everything working for you now at least?

Just out of interest, where does it say that?

I think it was said various times, here at least, that 1.5 came with updated factory presets (such as the new multiloops).

This is the master filter bug, hopefully a fix soon. In the meantime the master filter is the 2nd module down on the right hand side, right hand tab, click disable.

Seems like it would be a good idea to put on the user download page that for 1.5 you should delete everything and redownload and reinstall everything? Most people (I imagen) don't read this thread all the time, there are a lot of pages to try and find that sort of information, its really not the right place to put installation instructions.

Thank you, that's useful to know :tu:

Probably I am too lazy, but I ask. The codemeters client, is that a task permanently monitoring <things>, or does it only run on Avenger runtime? Because I remember that Sony thing very well, where they thought it is a good idea to always crawl through the users computer because they thought they have the right to do so.

Hello Manuel,

Hope everything is working out right with 1.5, I know it's not exactly the place to ask for support but I didn't want to spam the Technical support & Nicole, so I thought I would ask you here

On Thursday evening I bought an Avenger licence from another member, I sent to keilwerth@vengeance-sound the transfer fee invoice & the different registration codes from Avenger & EXPs from the original seller after he had contacted Nicole and got all the instructions from her.

I didn't get any news from keilwerth@vengeance-sound since, so I contacted Nicole but haven't had a response yet (I checked my spam folder and got nothing there)

Once again no worry I understand that the situation with 1.5 and BF was complicated and you have been busy working to solve everything.

I just wanted to know if the transfer was completed before I could buy a few Expansions.
When you have some time, you think you could ask them ?

Thank you in advance for your help, and hope everything is working out. :tu:

Codemeter issues:

I just wanted to add something here. My posts about my Codemeter and computer issues were made with a spirit to make users aware that this transition and update would not necessarily be smooth and easy. To clarify, I believe the devs will get this right and things will be working for all of us...nothing disparaging to them. It is sad that products like Codemeter have to exist, just to save the income of developers.

After this weekend dies down, I will be contacting support to get Codemeter and any other Avenger issues reported so they can get to work on the repairs and bug fixes.

I really don't want to send the wrong message. Avenger has been a fantastic product, and hopefully will continue to be. I feel the same way about Nexus. And I am glad I am not a developer.

They don't have to in that way. Most other devs survive with simple keyfiles or serials. Even the new Nexus3 uses some own (from what I heard hassle free) licensing system and I wondered why Avenger doesn't use it too when both companies share the same guys and already shared code. People in here have spread awareness of major problems with codemeter as instable, intrusive and in conflict with other copy protection products but got ignored or belittled.

To save income, just bind customers. But seeing the same problems with nearly every release/update (missing clear communication, no responses from support, non working updates, audible differences in older projects, obiously no beta testing, answers like "buy new hardware", getting surprised by webtraffic) or the abandon of older products makes me feel I'm not in good hands as a customer and they weren't able to learn from it too
