I agree that it'd be ideal to go with the same copy protection, in particular Nexus' new system, which seems to be the better solution for users. But although Manuel is involved in both products, they are coded by different developers and I bet it's been mostly their decision which copy protection to implement. Whatever the reason, it is what it isSirkusPi wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 3:30 pm I don’t really understand why Avenger took a step backward on the very same day that Nexus took a step forward, given the relationship between the products. Why is Nexus’ new copy protection system not good enough for Avenger?

I'm in the US as well and download speeds from Vengeance servers have always been slower than average, but they are particularly slow since the update was released. I assume their servers are getting hammered and can't handle the additional load well.ReboundAudio wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 2:53 pmAlso can't confirm that. i've downloaded the content this moment with full speed. Maybe you have a bad ping and reboot your internets connection or try www.speedtest.net if you have really 1Gbit actually.EnochLight wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 2:50 pm VPS servers are... "meh". I have fast 1 Gigabit download internet. I've always had a slow time downloading the Factory content - it usually takes on average an hour, while the installer for Avenger itself takes 10 minuts or so - for a 62.5 MB file.![]()

But the Factory content file today? It's expected to take 1 day to 27 hours!!!![]()

This is unacceptable, man. VPS needs to step up their server game - their ISP - something. I'm in the US, which I'm willing to wager is a large chunk of VPS's customer base.
Keep in mind that server connections from overseas are usually much slower than when you're located where the servers are. Assuming you're downloading from Germany your experience can't really serve as a benchmark for download speeds from the US.

This worked for me with regards to installation of codemeter, activation and install of avenger 1.51
I am on a Windows 10 PC with Cubase 10.5 Pro
This has to be done first before anything !!!!
1. Go to your avenger account and sign in on line
2. In your account you will see a link to go to the codemeter site
3. Download the correct version of codemeter PC or MAC
4. Install on your computer .Follow this link and Follow complete instructions and activate licence and expansions
5. Delete all instances of the avenger program manually and also all expansions from your computer
6. You have to go into your avenger account and download Avenger 1.51 also the factory library and also any and all your expansions you purchased if any. Expansions have been updated to only work with avenger 1.5 .It may take awhile to download the factory library
7. Now you are going to do a complete install of avenger and expansions/ factory library included
8. Install avenger 1.51
9. Open avenger in your daw
10. On screen prompt for factory library that you downloaded/install
11. At this point drag and drop any expansions that you purchased right into the avenger GUI where the libraries are displayed

Any user patches are unchanged, they're where they always were. Looks like it's only Avenger sound banks that need to be specifically updated, because of the copy protection.AlexBax wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 4:02 pm What to do with custom and favorite presets from 1.4 Avenger?
How do I import them into 1.5?
I don't use favourites, so can't help you with that one.

It might forlorn, but I hope that for 2.0 Manuel can take a fresh look at the whole thing. It really is pretty convoluted, for people who don't spend their lives on forums it's a minefield, there's so many ways to go wrong. Even the import content button doesn't work.bM3w wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 3:48 pmI agree that it'd be ideal to go with the same copy protection, in particular Nexus' new system, which seems to be the better solution for users. I'll never fully understand the relationship between Keilworth, ReFx, Vengeance and VPS, but it would be amazing if ReFx could do a deal with Vengeance to use their tech for the installs. It is the slickest part of Nexus 3 actually.

I did it yesterday and it said it was activated but no factory presets were shown.
Today I activated them again and now I have the presets shown.

@Noiseboy Rene will recode the whole VMAN in the next months, so it works with Codemeter - this will ease up installation even more, to a 1click system. We are not standing still, there will always be progress. And I see not everyone understood the installation correctly, or did it in the correct order.

Glad to hear that! I was able to get everything up and running but it took about a day to figure it all out. Looks like you guys maybe rushed a bit to hit black friday release datemsvs wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 4:48 pm @Noiseboy Rene will recode the whole VMAN in the next months, so it works with Codemeter - this will ease up installation even more, to a 1click system. I hope he means official XPs. I have some 3rd party XPs which have missing content errors for some reason. It doesn't mean they are illegal.msvs wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 4:27 pm just for info: if someone says he has "missing content" popup when loading an XP preset, then you know he was using an illegal XP
