Hi guys,

I just purchased ACE during u-he's Black Friday sale and I'm finally getting to know it. I'm fiddling around with the "Slop" parameter in the Circuit Bending section of the Tweaks page, and I'm having a difficult time hearing (or seeing on a tuner or spectral analyzer) any noticeable "tuning instabilities", and it's kind of driving me crazy. Is it just me? Did I miss something? Because I'm not seeing any difference in tuning...like...at all. I understand that this effect is intended to be subtle, but I think there's a difference between "subtle" and not working.

Maybe I just don't understand what type of "tuning instabilities" are occurring?

I've had ACE forever, and I've never really figured out what that knob does either.

Well, there's a global "Voice Drift" parameter in Diva, but the effect it has on tuning is noticeable. However, if you ask me, even that effect is way too subtle @ 200%. I would love to create some REALLY unstable patches and I just can't push it that far.

Slop used to do more in early versions - until it turned out to be the cause of occasional nastiness, sudden drop outs or something. I think I wanted to play it safe after that, but now it's subtle below perception.

I think I'll be able to spend a day on it soon, simply to add some of the experience of Diva and Repro development back into ACE.
