Hi guys,

I just purchased ACE during u-he's Black Friday sale and I'm finally getting to know it. I'm fiddling around with the "Slop" parameter in the Circuit Bending section of the Tweaks page, and I'm having a difficult time hearing (or seeing on a tuner or spectral analyzer) any noticeable "tuning instabilities", and it's kind of driving me crazy. Is it just me? Did I miss something? Because I'm not seeing any difference in tuning...like...at all. I understand that this effect is intended to be subtle, but I think there's a difference between "subtle" and not working. :?

Maybe I just don't understand what type of "tuning instabilities" are occurring?

I've had ACE forever, and I've never really figured out what that knob does either.

Well, there's a global "Voice Drift" parameter in Diva, but the effect it has on tuning is noticeable. However, if you ask me, even that effect is way too subtle @ 200%. I would love to create some REALLY unstable patches and I just can't push it that far.

Slop used to do more in early versions - until it turned out to be the cause of occasional nastiness, sudden drop outs or something. I think I wanted to play it safe after that, but now it's subtle below perception.

I think I'll be able to spend a day on it soon, simply to add some of the experience of Diva and Repro development back into ACE.

Whew! So it's not just me. Okay, I'll take down my Charlie Day conspiracy theory wall now, LOL
