Serato Sample, any alternatives?

Agreed, it's a good product, but has alot more potential. Serato told me personally, they stopped development on it, to concentrate on their daw > Serato Studio ,which is cool, but definitely not what I would need as I already have a daw.
Hopefully they will revisit and update Sample again some day.

Again... invest a moment or two checking IL Slicex. In case you're serious about your request, of course.

Seriously? How often do you need support? I've bought more than 100 plugins over the years and I can't think of a single time I've needed support on any of them, beyond downloading the installer again for a new PC.

Still unclear on the offline Copy Protection. Is it a code, a license file or is it C/R?

Serato Sample requires online activation unfortunately (but no iLok required).

That's too bad. Releasing a product and immediately discontinuing support is never something that the user will appreciate. I bought Serato Sample because it's a great creative sampler (probably my favorite one), but knowing that it's development is discontinued is a bummer.

It's understandable if they chose to temporarily focus on their Serato Studio software, but to permanently drop support for Serato Sample is not fine. I tend to stay away from companies that don't support their product once sold.

I wholeheartedly agree with you 100%. I ended up buying two separate licenses from them just to support them thoroughly for both of my cpus. Only to find out they dropped support to focus on an entirely new product.
At least keep developing the software that brought you the customers you needed to support your business model and product.

Looks like Sample hasn't been completely abandoned after all. They just released v2 and added Stems.
