databroth wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2019 7:08 am I just bought phaseplant through plugin boutique, pretty bummed because most of the serial numbers didn't show up for some reason. If anyone can help me with this please let me know. It didn't include a serial for phaseplant either
Did you get this sorted in the end?
Not yet, kilohearts has gotten back to me, I guess the serial numbers pluginboutique sent me aren't even part of a bundle ??? PB hasn't responded
That sucks... PB are usually legit, though possibly overloaded this time of year. Kilohearts are always keen to help when they can but this may be out of their hands. :-(

You could use the trial in the meantime if you're itching to get creative?
No they’re definitely legit, but That’s so weird...
That’s uncharacteristic of Plugin Boutique to Screw up that Badly. They owe you (databroth) a fast response and apology regardless of how busy they are.
Especially since you already paid for the program.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Despite my initial "meh" feeling i bought it a while back after getting some interesting results while demoing. Today i finally had some time to spend a little longer with it. And boy am i happy i bought it.

Awesome synth this. Highly recommended.

I'm off to play some more with it. :tu:
More BPM please

PB finally got back to me, looks like the missing serials is k<3z fault possibly, they should be in communication with each other. I'm not expecting anything other than use of the plugin I bought, though I would have loved to play with it this week lol

but part of me is hoping they offer some form of compensation

I asked about this too and apparently the key generation system thingy got overloaded in the sales. They're upgrading servers and have already taken measures to mitigate the problem so it shouldn't happen to anyone else... it's unfortunate you've had to wait. :-(

looks like it was fixed
Gonna spend some time on my break entering keys
and I have something to play with this weekend now

Is this the best wavetable editor out right now? I'm really impressed with what I've seen in the videos, morphing, single cycles etc.

Post

Just demoing this right now by using the generous trial they give you.

SO far I'm pretty impressed at what you can do, this thing is pretty unique. CPU usage isn't so bad either. :tu:

Like most Phase modulation based synthesizers, this thing can do some pretty PHAT FM style bass sounds. Still trying to wrap my head around modulation sources though.

People who do DNB, Neuro, Dubstep, Electro, etc will love this thing.

It's missing a proper step sequencer modulation source though with user saveable states.

Not sure it's for me though, I really don't need or want another synth..

I finally got around to playing with the WT editor, I haven't used many, so I can't comment on if it is the best around. But the keyframe system for creating tables is pretty fun and powerful, I think it might be the best around now, but there will be another table editor in the next year or so that I found to be at least the easiest to use as a beginner. though phaseplants seems a bit more powerful over all

Yeah, I downloaded the demo and I am so far really impressed. A lot of the presets seem to lean pretty heavily on FM and they sound great. I really like the GUI, too - clear and simple. I am very tempted to grab this while it's on sale but I'll spend a bit more time with it first, I think.

I ended up buying this yesterday. I kind of talked myself into it while replying on a couple of threads here. I see it being like a more straightforward alternative to Reaktor or Reaktor Blocks - lots of high level modules you can put together easily to make something as simple or complex as you require, no more. It could almost be my Holy Grail - a simple synth with the sort of sound quality you mostly only get from stupidly complicated synths. I am quite excited by the possibiltiies.
