Let's call this rap: I have a wav file that contains 'lyrics', a record of spoken words. It has no rhythm, then it contains noise and snippets of extra words sprinkled here and there that need to be removed. The question is: How do I in tracktion remove/silence unwanted noise and words, and fit the wanted content to rhythm?
Or is it better to use audacity?

Try using the splice to MIDI function in Mulitsampler. I'm not at my computer right or or I'd give better instructions.

From AdmiralBumblebee.com
"You can take any clip and in the properties panel click ‘multisample’. The clip will be loaded in to a multisampler, transient detected and ready to go.
From there you can use the MIDI editing tools, or use Multisampler as you desire to play your clip via MIDI. Quick way to sample sounds or to mangle your own beats."

tut tut, multisampler is not available in the W10 free that I have. Looks like I gotta take the file to audacity.
Would tracktion some day bring audio editing capabilities like those of audacity in the DAW ... I speculate what their cooperation with Prism Sound and Sadie portends.

You could try slicing the unwanted parts out on the audio track, select the full range, consolidate then warp as desired. I'm not at the computer right now so just working off my memory.

That would be doable. It also feels like doing it in tracktion for the sake of doing it in tracktion! Audacity it is.
My current view about warp time is that the tool is best suited to put time precision in drum loops etc. I would probably see what melodyne would offer to my rap piece if I had the full tracktion package.
