VIDEO - Creative Speaker mixing with MCabinetMB

In this video I'll show a few ways to mix speakers/IRs using the new MCabinetMB plugin. I'll even show a trick at the end that will let you export the result, allowing even more possibilities. I hope you find this useful.

Thanks Chandler. The width (loudness) is not exported properly (when you export the "blended IR" and use it in another IR loader ). I guess it's a bug.

What Chandler is doing, when using the [Wav] button, is processing the "flat" IR though the different IRs in the 2 bands. This produces the "combined" IR for use later on ("Wav" overwrites the file.). You can see the three different IR shapes if you pause the video at the appropriate points and take screenshots.

WAV button lets you process a file using the plugin with current settings. You can either click the button and select a file, or drag & drop the file (or multiple files) onto the button. If you let the plugin process WAV files, these will be saved with the original settings. If you use a different file type (such as MP3), the plugin will create WAV files with 32-bit bits-per-sample floating point.

Please note that the files will be overwritten, so make a copy first if you want to keep the original.

I don't know about the volume, but the stereo width actually is exported. I checked it again a few min ago. It will export a stereo IR and it worked in both MConvolution and S-gear, so I'm assuming it will work in any guitar software that loads stereo IRs. I know many guitar programs only accept mono IRs and so that might be a problem depending on what software you're using.

That's exactly it. I hope that part wasn't too confusing. Explaining it is more work than actually doing it. Once you do it, repeating the steps takes only about 30 sec. Maybe I should just keep some blank IRs on HD in case I need them. Stock up on some blank IRs for the winter.

Is it me or doesn't MCabinetMB export (using Chandlers method) any input and output volume? It seems i can't get it to work. Exporting the volume-setting inside the bands isn't working either.
Without touching any volume it is working.
