No MIDI notes in Tracktion from Maschine Mikro MK3 in MIDI mode

Hi, I'm trying out Tracktion T7 on Windows 10 with Maschine Mikro MK3. I'm able to load Maschine as a VST in Tracktion and control it normally via the Maschine hardware, but when I use MIDI mode on the Maschine controller with a MIDI track and VST instrument, notes are not recognized by Tracktion.

I believe I've followed the instructions to set this up: Tracktion recognizes Maschine as a MIDI input and I've selected that input for the track and enabled recording. There is a MIDI pattern in the track. MIDI filters are disabled.

I downloaded MIDI Ox to check if the notes are being received on the computer, and they are. I see C2 to Eb3 notes being triggered by Maschine's pads when it's in MIDI mode.

I'm able to play the same track with the virtual keyboard as well.

Any ideas on what may be wrong here?

Hmm... I exited Tracktion, installed Reaper to see if it was me or the DAW, got everything working, and then went back and re-did everything in Tracktion, and it works. So never mind
