Lotuzia wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2019 1:58 pm You guys have surprised me. Some units have been mentioned that I did not know. This is good for my synthesizer culture, thanks for that :tu:

I hope it was also fun for all those reading this thread, and interested in rare and unique analog machines.
Wait... You will still be surprised !
:D

Lotuzia wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2019 1:58 pm So here are some more clues, because yes, the choices have to be restrained from now on :

* The name of the BRAND who made this unit doesn't begin by a letter in the first half of the alphabet (until L). So no Korg, Buchla, etc. But Zyklonic would be valid if ever such a brand existed in the past.
* The BRAND is rather famous. (But thanks for naming all these obscure ones, including those I wasn't aware of) It's not complete esoteric material.
* The instrument has, to my knowledge, never been emulated. Though, of course, I've seen it has been proposed inside of 'sample' sets.

Good luck to all
It begins to become way more interesting.

And yes, I agree that 'Rare' 'unique' etc are relative concepts. And that a bit of luck -or more :)- was necessary to win during the first two days. Analog however is not relative (for the few digital machines that were proposed)

Anyway, I'll give more and more clues each day, so that I'm confident/certain actually we will have a winner, because, it's not that difficult in the end. Well it's not easy to choose the right clues : Too easy, no game. Too difficult, and people will be tired. I hope you'll still enjoy this little game, and that I put the balance right.

Well that leaves Moog, Oberheim, Roland, Sequential Circuits, Waldorf, Yamaha, etc and that's just the big brand names.

My money is on some obscure European synth but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Logan String Melody was never emulated, only sampled.

At least my alphabet has 26 letters if i'm not totally mistaken
“L“ is #12, now do the math...

As I yet never made any serious suggestion until today (included), here is at last my first one :

Yamaha CS70m

(I would have preferred a Yamaha E70 but I'm pretty sure that it would not be the same for almost all the others  then I add this E70 only for the fun)

some obscure European synth
must be Italian. Logan or Siel. I believe, Crumar was already named.
