New Idea for all

Hi,
I have this idea, ladies and gentlemen:
It would be so great to have a MOVIE on tracktion where all functions would be explained with real audio and midi files in action.
It's much better than tutorials and even better than tracktion's unique help dialog.
The movie would be divided into certain headlines, topics,
so that everybody could choose what she/he needs and start working.
Why I had this idea?
Well, there are so many hidden features behind tracktion
and it would be fine to all use them and get the best out of Jules intentions to make musical recordings easier and more dynamically accessible for us.
I would also very much welcome to see tracktion in connection with
different surroundings and stuff as:
e.g. mixers, cards, microphones, plugins e.t.c.
This would also give tracktion a raise.

i have the VTC DP3 Tutorial on CD and it has helped me immensely. When someone shows you how to work a sequencer, via examples, you have a much better understanding and appreciation for the app.
I myself had a tough time with the DP manual due to its size and content. It's a beast of a program.
With T, a tutorial video would only be an additional tool for many who learn better via active participation(video) than passive (manual)

Well,
The logic of the software and the existing help files are fine for getting started, but they are lacking for detailed help. Examples embedded would be very helpful.
My guess is that adding a video help file would distract Jules from programming - and it does seem like it's still a 1-man show. I'd rather have him coding than authoring a DVD.
This actually should be Mackie's job, and they should not include it with the price of the software - to keep the software price appropriately low.
I bought a Yamaha Motif on a whim a year ago and the manual that they offer with the machine is useless. Most buyers end up buying a how-to DVD for another 20-30$, that is made by a 3rd party company.

It strikes me that while everyone is saying that it would be great to have a proper manual no one is doing anything about it. There are some guides at ADBE, there are also lots of mini `how to`s on kvr, but they are all disparate.
You know, if people are serious about this, we could divide up the different topics and research/write a tutorial each. I think doing a movie would be beyond most people - but a `how to`with screen shots isn`t that difficult.
I would be up for doing one part. Anyone else?
Some ideas for topics;
Using multi-out instruments
Creating a song
working with loops
using the MIDI editor
Setting your preferences
Creating sends (lots of different ways)
Using Final Mix !!!!
There are others - let`s come up with a definitive list.

Surely this is Mackies job not yours ,Mackie must have some kind of department for doing that stuff or are they just gonna sit back let Jules do all the work license a few plugs and collect the money ,Oh actually i think i just answered my own question

quite a while ago (must've been a year or so) I started to write a manual. I quit because of the mackie deal, we all figured they were going to come out with docs (not that we'd been given any reason to, we as a forum seem to invent things rather frequently). I've since lost the old file, but I'd be happy to contribute a section to a new manual. Otoh, I'd not be happy to decide what to write, so I'll leave that up to you all to get organized
