Maybe he did planned well and fixed the bugs, just you are in the minor category. For me that Arpica thing doesnt happen.antic604 wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:00 amIt's not either / or. Well planned business would release it two weeks before vacations to have the time to address the bugs during 9-17 working hours; or release it after holidays, when he's back "in the office" to take care of the reports.Elektronisch wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 7:48 amSo is it better to take 2 weeks off and have a good rest and back to work happy?

New customer
. Managed to avoid all the recent deals (excluding LION) and go for this as my first choice. Up there with the very best bargain prices offered for ANA2, Thorn, SynthMaster bundle, Harmor and I think Factory, but I have those expect Harmor.
Was nearly considering Pigments 2, but hoping Reason's Grain layers could cover it's new features now instead. Would be cool to see phase distortion in Viper one day if it's easy to implement, but effect versions of that might come close. If some of the controls on the left panel could be tweaked I'd be even happier but MIDI CCs cover those anyway.
Enjoy some time off, spend my money on something you shouldn't if possible, or put it towards a fancy hardware synth, hand it to someone in need, gamble it, whatever.

Depends on the audio buffer size and your CPU's power (i7-4771@3.5Ghz). When I use a buffer size of 512 on my audio interface (RME), the spikes are not reaching the end of the buffer and the clicks are not happening, but sometimes 512 is still not enough.
Let's hope Flowstone fixes this, but my expectations are low. It was not fixed in more then 1 year, somehow it got worse.

I think its related to that but something other aswel, because my buffer size is 256 and im using i7 4790k. Naturaly if the lower CPU is the spikes will max out the CPU as any other VST would (lower CPU obviously means you thortle it faster). But indeed lowering the buffer size also caused spikes, for me it started at 128.anoise wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:50 amDepends on the audio buffer size and your CPU's power (i7-4771@3.5Ghz). Ok this happened again, but its at random time, tho it happened under the same circumstances, i was holding a midi keyboard key while changing ARP preset in factory bank. Under same circumstances happened yesterday aswel, but yeah at random time.

Thanks for the update.
I just noticed that the sound bank files I already had on disk, were more recent than the ones in your zipfile, so I just kept the ones on disk. Probably nothing, but a bit strange.

Ok. Downlaoded the demo and testing.
There are minispikes whenever there's a note-on, spiking from a baseline of 5% to, let's say, 10% cpu usage (this are not real numbers). This is in Bitwig with closed interface. When I open Viper's interface the spikes get of the roof, and not only at note-on, reaching 100% occassionally and thus crackling. Closing the interface brings the spikes back to "normal".
This doesn't happen always; sometimes I can keep the interface open only having "normal spikes". Weird.
This is with 512 buffer size.
That's a pity. The -25% discount is to good to resist (even if there's still no recursive modulation for the envelopes).

Who said anything about abandoning? I never said "go buy my product and whatever issues you have thats not my problem so see ya!". I said I need two weeks off from the hard work to spend the holidays with the family, and when I am back I can look into the issues in more detail. Right now I am on my laptop, I answer emails and help even here, my studio computer with all the daws for testing is back home so I cant check the issues right now, but why do I even need to explain this shit, I dont have to start defending myself.antic604 wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 7:28 am But that's not an excuse for releasing something & then abandoning the support.
But anyway you act as the whole synth is totally unusable and its garbage because of this one issue. This problem mainly occurs with the Midi data the Arp generates and thats causing the cpu spikes. If you turn off the arp and only use the piano roll the issue is less of a problem.
No, anything in the wavetables folder should appear in the wavetable oscillator wav selection. Please send me a screenshot in private where you have this folder located so I can help you.sacer wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 7:31 am I moved them into the wavetables/user folder, should I move them into the factory folder ?
Unfortunately my licensing system does not make license transfers possible
Awesome, thank you and I hope it will bring you lots of fun and joy!
Well 64 bit seemed impossible in FlowStone and now it has it. I am actively in contact with the developers, they are aware of the issue, its just a very hard problem to solve I am sure it will be fixed, lets just be patient.anoise wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 8:50 am Let's hope Flowstone fixes this, but my expectations are low. You can load single cycle waveforms and wavetables by putting them in the appropriate folder
No not yet, thats the next project to make it skinnable. I have to rewrite the entire GUI from scratch and it will be an enormous task so it will take a while.izonin wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 1:25 pm Great news!![]()
Is it skinnable now? It would be really nice, if we could add custom skins!

If you are going to be rewriting the GUI, do you think you might be able to make it multi-touch capable? I don't know if you can use Juce, but I think that framework allows it. Some good multi-touch examples are TAL-U-No-LX and TAL-Bassline and the Arturia synths.adamtrance wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 2:19 pm No not yet, thats the next project to make it skinnable. I dont think FlowStone allows that at the moment, but maybe by the time I get around to it it could happen!
