Hey there,

maybe I am missing something or it would be a nice feature, at least to me:

Often times I load another device in e.g. MTurboComp to see if this compressor "model" better fits my needs for the speciffic situation. Unfortunately I always have to change these meter settings to Short term loudness, while they seem to be default on Momentary loudness in the devices. Same thing with Maximum value in some plugins, which is on by default, while I do not like to work like that.

I alreay tried the Set default settings in the plugin settings, but it did not change a thing. Am I missing something or could this be a feature request to let the user chose some default options for the meter behaviours?

Thanks for your help, people! :)

For a few experiments, it looks like the meter settings are part of the Device (the list on the left). And I'll guess that the "default settings" are used then the Device is loaded.

Try this: set the Meter to Short-term, change to Edit mode and Set that as Default Settings. Remove and reload the plug-in.

Hey there, thanks for your reply: this won't help, unfortunately. Probably, since the device is loaded again on change (what I was refering to). I guess I had to hack the devices to make this work ... while I would not want to do that, since after the next update I had to hack this again, I guess.

I guess, I am a guesser... :D

I'm afraid no solution for this, sorry. It's indeed part of the device and locking this seems a bit "too much" :)
