I sure hope so.

My fiend just checked and they get the offer for $69 and I'm pretty sure they only have the plate reverb, so maybe it's because you already own v2?

I already own Pigments 2, but I was wondering the same. I got the free reverb (even have V Collection 7) and it still shows $99 for me. Curious!
Wow.. I have V7 and it shows 49€.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Yeah, I think it's a problem with my account. Last time, V Collection 7 upgrade was showing $199 until I contact support and they fixed it for me. I think it should be $49 for me, as well.

No issues though, as Pigments 2 eventually costed me $69 only. Bought Pigments 1 during the summer. ;)

????

It should be free for you then. It’s a free upgrade from 1.

"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Yes, it was free only. Pigments 1 costed me $69 and Pigments 2 free, so total $69. :)

Well, considering other his (synth) yummy moments, it's not critical for me too, but just thoughts out loud can say.
(Lol there is some synths, which i liked and bought initially just due to beautiful builtin reverb, for example Europa and Antidote.)

But can you modulate those other reverbs with the synth's modulators? No, you can't.

That's why having a quality internal reverb matters -- to integrate it into the sound design via the synth's modulation system. So your argument about it 'only being there so sell presets' is small-minded and frankly just wrong. For people who actually do sound design, the possibilities of an integrated high quality reverb are immediately apparent.

This is one instance where MassiveX totally blows Pigments away, imo: the Massive X reverb is phenomenal sounding, and easily modulated. Pigments provides the modulation options, but the reverb itself is really lackluster.

Modulatable effects seem mostly useful if they are per voice though, which most of the Pigments effects are not, right?

I wasn’t going to get this, but $49? Looks like a no brainer

Post

Well thank-you folks that mentioned the $69 Pigments price after registering the FREE plate 'verb. I was leaning to pull the trigger at $99 after comparing to Rapid but another 30% off dropped it into no-brainer category. Agree that reverb is mediocre (Rapid wins that one), but I've got plenty outboard. Including a new free plate :P REALLY like the sequencer- I know it can save MIDI, but saving (Seq only) presets would be very handy.
Too many DAWs and plug-ins

Rapid has one of the best reverbs in a VSTI imho and it’s a bonus that you can also use it as an fx plugin. Not being able to modulate reverb is however not a big deal to me, and normally I prefer my dedicate reverbs anyway....with Bitwig it’s not that hard to external modulators on both simultaneously if I really need it.

Totally separate subject...I recon it would not take too much effort for Arturia to turn P2 in to a killer drum machine!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

This is interesting - this thread starts to resemble the thousands-post long Fathom thread. Fathom's reverb is stellar, and it has also been mentioned a drum machine version could be derived. Speaking of which, people have also asked for Fathom FX, but I guess I see the reason why no one has mentioned an FX-only version of Pigments. :hihi:

I can, as I have a similar choice of external modulators. That is the advantage of a modular DAW like Bitwig. But agreed, for sound designers who want to sell their sounds, it needs all that stuff within the synth... (you win...; - )
