What is the overlap between these tools and if you could only buy one, which one would it be?
My original plan was to get MBassador to create subharmonics, but all of these tools can create some kind of harmonics and some seem more versatile like the MHarmonizerMB.

Hey there,
I think it really depends what applications you have.
MBassador
Tbh: this is one plugin I mainly use compared to the others. 1. It does not introduce latency and it really can make your bass so unbelievable much bigger, hehe. I love it with just the bass band already and I barely touch the others. Still: I find it mainly usefull for bass instruments (acoustic or synth, doesn't matter), voice or even sound effects.
MHarmonizerMB
This one is mainly for some kind of doubling of the audio signal. It can aalso generate a fake bass, of course. You can also use it do create some fake auto-tune effect.
... I admit: I barely used it at all, yet. It is still quite interesting thought, but ... it might not be the best for creating "subharmonics", I guess. It will create latency, when used with another mode than "granulizer", though.
MCharacter
It's a spectral plugin. Means: introduces latency. It can generate sub- and overtones on a spectral basis, if I am right. But I never tested it that much, tbh. Other users might be able to write more on this one.
MUnison
As far as I tested this one, it is also to mainly use it for some kind of doubling. You can make some kind of fake bass with it, but according to my tests (not that much, tbh ... again
) it is not as good s MBassador for making a bass even bigger. Also: it's spectral as well and introduces latency as well.
MPolySaturator
Spectral + latency as well. Also: I did not used this one so much, hehe. IIRC Vojtech came up with this effect as some kind of side-product, when working on MCharacter. But here again: maybe other user might come up with more useful information here, since I barely used it so far, since I very barely use spectral plugins, while I like to work without latency as often as possible, hehe.
I hope I could help you. Best would be to also install the plugins and test them on your own to see what betetr fit your needs! Good luck!
