pianoteq and modo bass are synths by definition. what part of "Physical modelling synthesis" isn't clear to you ? this is just another synthesis method.

I only got one synth that I use and that's Absynth but not very often. I really should sell Largo. Since I play guitar and bass more than anything else, SD3 is the nr 1 vsti I use the most. But when I do dark ambient I use Kontakt and samples made from nature, industry, other instruments etc.
