if you want 1997-2007 hardware like,original trance machine,that's the synth - arp,bass,pluck,pad can do it well,seems kind of forgotten,bought it because of these ridiculous discounts lately,didn't expect to fit well anywhere,but surprise me nice,it definitely has distinguish character,could make soundset for it

V-Station,Synth1 and Air Hybrid3 cost me less than 10 euro,these three cover probably 99% of everything if u like 1990-2010 sound

Does anyone in this thread know if it's possible to move presets from and to the Novation Xio Synth with V-station?

In my opinion V-Station is still cool plugin, even it's pretty old but with almost 0%CPU per instance. Will be updated some day? Resizable GUI? More voices? Who knows...

According to Novation you can export patches from V-Station to Xiosynth but not in the other direction: https://support.novationmusic.com/hc/en ... patibility

Yeah true but even THAT isn't explained on how to do it... :S

V-station will export a midi/sysex file containing the patch. You then play this MIDI into the synth. You can use the USB connection; it's easiest to use some kind of sysex library software for this but sometimes it works to just drop it into a DAW and send from there. (I've done a Blofeld firmware update that way before.)

But doesn't that mean that vstation can also IMPORT sysex files??
And I DO see import and export buttons in the global section of vstation BUT will it only im/export single presets OR also full banks??

From the compatibility table I'd guess that it fails to read sysex from later synths as they have extended capabilities and extended the spec. I'll give a try with my X-station later if I remember.

Last I checked, it was available via Focusrite Plugin Collective...but that was months ago.

Looks like they don't even offer V-Station and Bass Station with their newer MIDI controllers anymore... I guess they can be considered discontinued now.

Well it was available at pluginboutique some months ago(bought it then), but apparantly it isn't there anymore. Only the Bass Station is available, odd.

Yep it's weird nowhere nothing,i bought it from pluginboutique when was discounted as well,just wonder what is happening with this dope little synth,easiness of workflow makes it so fresh and friendly,303 realistic sound isn't something you can do with many other vst synths at all,last time i did it with v-st take like 30 seconds (humble,humble):):)Cheers

i'm using it in my current WIP for some nice arps. still capable of great sounds at a very little cpu hit.
