Then it wouldn't have worked on your precious 32-bit system, because this thing has 6 GB of samples (and they need to be in RAM for superfast access, so no direct from disk streaming).

(I’m a such a pita :hihi: )
It DOES contain all original Wavestation PCM, including all cards, from what I understand.
So does the highly credible Korg Wavestation VST, and thats 49 bucks!

Huge difference in capability and playability with the new one.

Good luck programming it without talbet/pc even with this improved interface.
Murderous duck!

wouldn't work on his ancient pc anyway, Win 10/64bit only for new stuff/updates

Post

Wow. Haven’t been this excited for hardware in a while.

Current Korg Collection still works on W7. I have it on my old laptop. But yes, 64-bit only.

No MPE no luck with me...

Post

No MPE, but I guess you could think of it as a powerful sequencer groove box (it has probability etc on the sequencer) with the bonus of a full sized velocity sensitive keyboard!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Whoa - Wavestation on steroids...
I had the original Wavestation Rack version back in the day. Decided to sell it at one point but the asshole who bought it never paid, even my lawyer couldn't get anything out of him, nor the unit back... :-(
Still invokes rather mixed feelings but this looks quite tasty.
NIce :-)

Cheers,

Tom

Gimme his address... I tell him stories of my Russian friends and my connections to the Chinese mafia... (not seriously)
I also had the rack. Unfortunately the VST does not have the vocoder part...

Post

I STILL have a Wavestation SR! It hasn’t seen use in many a year though. I’ll quite likely pick this one up. I have to say, the interface and the menu diving doesn’t look like much fun to me. I’ll probably make liberal use of the randomize functions and minor tweaking to get results that I like.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

IMHO you really don't need MPE with this one. It's a different sort of beast...

Is this Wavestation 2.0?

Yeah, and then some. :)
