Any chance of Waveform being a ReWire Device/Slave?

I'd like to ReWire Waveform with S1 but they both will only act as Mixers/Hosts. Is there a technical reason why there are fewer DAWs that can be Devices than Mixers or is there some DAW social stigma attached to being a ReWire Device?

The technical reason is that it's not implemented...
The reason for this is that it's a different SDK and a non-trivial amount of work to do.
because of this and the fact that there's never been a huge demand for it means we've never added it.
It might get bumped up the FR list if it was under high demand.

Alright, my plans to slave waveform to some good score editor fell into junk pile.
I don't record any instruments live, I construct my music.

Which good score editor is a Rewire master? Sibelius isn't.

There is at least Presonus Notion. It can be both host and slave, and it's at the moment my first choice when I think a rewire setup. But I found some talk about the opposite arrangement too, that is Waveform as host, a score editor as slave and virtual midi cables between them. Gotta look at this possibility too; and then there are some DAWs with score editors.
Si it's going to take me some time to find whatever setup I would be happy with.
