[Feature Request] Copy and Paste on mouseover

As far as I know, the only way to copy and paste a setting is to open its window, and then click the copy/paste icon.

In the modal filter, I often want to apply the same modulation for all harmonics which is rather tedious. I have to open the modulation dialogue by clicking on the button. Then I have to click paste and close the window. And then I have to repeat that for the other 30 harmonics.

It would be much better if I could simple hover over the modulation button and hit ctrl-v to paste the settings without opening the window.

I don't know how difficult this would be to implement, but it would be a huge time saver.

P.s. I really love MSF. Until I found it, I've been playing with the thought of developing my own synth because I couldn't find one I liked, but MSF is wonderful.

What if you create a template with assigned modulations?
You can also copy and paste the whole setting from one modal filter to another.

But I admit, some kind of filter would be useful. There is not a lock symbol for all parameters. With an option like "paste with filter" you might be able to delete all assignments in a list that you don't need.

Sure, I can create a template, but when I want to change something, I have to go through the whole process all over again.

And it's not just for modulation. If I want to copy a value from one knob to the other, I have to first click the value, wait for the window to open, hit ctrl-c, close the window, click on the other knob, wait for the window to open, hit ctrl-v, and close the window.

It would be much more convenient if I could just hover the mouse over one knob, hit ctrl-c, move the mouse to the other knob and hit ctrl-v.

Blender (the 3D animation software) does that, and it's super convenient. Whenever I have to use a software that doesn't support this, I cry a little.

I know you can also do a lot with local presets, which is much better than most other synths which only support global presets, and I appreciate it. But once you've gotten used to something, it's always unpleasant if you have to go back to something less convenient.

I agree. Since F1 also works as a hover, ctrl+c and ctrl+v should also be possible. I think that would be great!

That's very unlikely, sorry, the DAW would probably steal these commands, or react to them as well, then you'd find you project wrecked... oh noooo ... I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to copy & paste anyways. In any case note, that if you imagine all the features in these plugins, from time to time you'd feel like there should be a shortcut to all of these and that's certainly not possible, at least not without making the plugins a big pile of supercomplicatedmess

Where ctrl-c and ctrl+v are quite universal. If there are these shortcuts, these are the ones. The DAW should also "consolidate" the shortcuts within the plugins. Otherwise it wouldn't work with the F1 help, would it?
But the danger is certainly there. I don't know all the DAWs.

It's true about the shorcuts ! Still, it's more intuitive than any vst's I have. The placement of the copy and paste buttons was very thorough and a big praise and thanks for that!

I can also use ctrl-c in the little edit window that pops up after double clicking a knob. Is that somehow treated differently by the DAW so it's not a problem there?
