Can I ask what your buffer's set at, which daw, what version osx, and your macbook specs?
No matter what I do, I can't get more than 30%. i7 4970k, windows 10.
Maybe it's because it's relying on old code from another synth and is not as efficient as other synths (afaik Avenger is basically the synth version of Phalanx). For many it wouldn't run smoothly, personally I don't have issues, but I can also see that Vengeance doesn't really consider low end setups (they suggest a 4k screen for Avenger, because on 1080p it looks pretty bad due to the atrocious font choice and its downscaling) and won't even count laptops as potential workstations. Maybe that's one of the reasons other plugins are much more successful even though they aren't necessarily "better".
I wonder if listening and improving the overall experience on laptops would have brought more customers than enforcing third party solutions for copy protection did(which aren't as infallible as they thought, and mostly affected existing customers... since those who bought it after would have done it anyway) and most likely they'll end up pushing Avenger 2 much sooner than expected so they won't be changing copy protection method a second time around in their "no dongle" synth.
