M8.4.9 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/beta/
  • Automation parts that were targetting one of the effect slots in MuSynth, MuDrum, ... were not working as expected anymore, even causing problems after some time. Fixed.
  • Importing MuClips was not working anymore. Fixed.
How to update:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

Post

Do all those updates have to do with APDC? It must be affecting everything somehow :hihi:

Anyway, a question: why do racks continue to sound even though they are routed to the master rack and I have turned that master rack off? 8)

Post

Turned the rack off or muted it? Turning the rack off simply disables processing the module slots, thus acting as a bypass. This means audio will pass through.
My Setup.
Now goes by Eurydice(Izzy) - she/her

Ah bypass, I see :hihi:

Just a silly question as I don´t see any complaints here:

I just installed V8.3.3 ... runs fine...
But if I copy the beta 8.4.9 over the play cursor isn´t visible anymore...
If I put back the original exe everything is fine again...
Do I miss here something??

Did you also remember to copy the Mulab.ID file. You propably did but thought I would mention it, since you only mentioned the exe file.
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Thx, but I copied both files...
Is there any full package (after 8.3.3) to install before 8.4.9??

No, simply copying M8.4.9 .exe + .ID is sufficient.

In what precise case don't you see the play cursor?
Does it also happen when doing New Project and clicking play?
Or when playing one of the demo projects?

Post

Yes, it doesn't show when I load older projects of mine.

Euh, does your "Yes" mean that it also happens when doing "New project" and playing that project?
Or does it mean it only happens with your older projects?

Post

When I open a new project and record something, I see the bar the way it should be.

Post

Is it repeatable with a project that does not use any VSTs?
If so then please email me such VST-less project that makes disappear the play cursor.

Or is it only repeatable when using VSTs?
In that case please email me a simple project that uses a freeware VST that makes disappear the play cursor.

Post

The bar shows fine with a new project using a VST as well as a new project using the built-in synth (Mux I suppose).

Happens here everytime...(I tried fresh to get sure):

I downloaded V8.3.3 and extracted it...
Started it, set my ASIO driver and Mulab opened as usual running in Edit mode...
I see the cursor...everything fine...
I insert my user key and started Mulab again...
Runs still in edit mode... I still see the cursor... all good.

Opened the zip for 8.4.9 and overwrite the 2 files in the Mulab folder...
Start Mulab... opens with the standard set in Edit mode like before: no cursor!!!

Replacing the exe and id file from the 8.3.3 package... cursor back again!!!

I have no clue what happens here...

Trancit, what samplerate and buffersize are you using?

And you're using MuLab 64 bit, right?
