BR: W8 - Silent audio clips in Edit

Reopened an edit and in some but not all tracks, the audio clips are "silent". The waveforms are displayed in the clips as normal. The only "solution" I've found is to delete the affected tracks and then undo the delete. Unfortunately this then completely buggers up track destinations for the undeleted tracks. For example, tracks originally routed to, say, track 11 now go to track 12. Rerouting doesn't work - it has no effect.

Can you try rendering the clips in place and see if that restores them? Are these imported or recorded onto the tracks? Bit depth and sampling rate?
The only thing I've seen similar is with REX files but with those the clip waveform and audio disappear randomly.
