The Save Template and Process Template buttons were recently added to the MP Manager. I've stared at the one-sentence explanation in help, but it's just not getting through.
Can someone provide a simple example of what can be done with these templates. I have a feeling there really quite useful, so I'm more than a little curious.

They've been there for a while. It saves a bunch of properties of the selected Multiparameter and then you can apply them to ALL the MPs.
I have not yet found a use for it.Save template
Save template button lets you save various settings of selected multiparameters into a file. You can then use the Process template button to apply these on different settings. It is for example useful to change visual properties and order of the multiparameters.
Process template
Process template button lets you apply settings stored using Save template button onto the current set of mutliparameters. Note that it applies it onto the entire multiparameter set, not just the selected ones.

I'm also interested. I don't know what it is used for. It seems like there I a good reason it's there, but I can't figure it out.

Basically it's great if you have some sort of "standard" and many presets/devices, which should look/work similarly. It is used for MSoundFactory to ensure the Globals indices are correct for example, more about it here:

Here it is just for indices, but imagine I'd like to change the overall look of MTurboReverb - that's 100 devices! And if I'd simply want a different "Panel types" for them, it would mean changing the same thing in 100 of them. Now I'd need to do this for all of them too, but all the actual edits would be automatic. It's a bit geeky though, I suppose

But this sounds like a tool serious sound designers would definitely want to have in their toolbox.
