In this video I'll show you how you can make a snare sound in MSF using a new method that hopefully sounds more realistic than the normal subtractive approach. This video only shows part of it and in another video I'll show some other tricks that will add variation and punch to the sound. Let me know what you think of the sound and if you have any questions.

My next step would be to mis-use both the Cabinet and Reverb modules to create the drum body/ tone.

Thanks. Reverb and MCabinet are definitely things to check out. I haven't tried MCabinet, but it might lead to some good results.

I'll be doing a follow up video this week and I'll show some more things that can help improve the sound. In the future I might do similar videos on bass drums, toms, etc if people are interested.
