Does version 11.02 of MAutoAlign break backwards compatability?

I've been holding off updating as I don't want to ruin any of my phase-aligned projects I haven't finished over the last few years, but the spectral compensation still looks very tempting. How is backwards compatability with newer versions?

Specifically v11.02?
All the Release Notes are here:
https://www.meldaproduction.com/release ... version/11
You are missing out on a whole lot. You can always install the latest version and thoroughly check out your projects. If you run into problems, you can reinstall an earlier version (have you still got the installer) and carry on, while MeldaProduction investigates any issues.
I did look around for v11 installers and found this page:
https://www.meldaproduction.com/downloa ... Plugins+11
IF you need an earlier v11 you'll need to contact MeldaProduction.

Sorry, I meant post 11.02+, since this is when MAutoAlign is updated to include spectral compensation. I wasn't sure if the rest of the phase-alignment engine was changed or not, or if they'd behave exactly the same if I load a project up (I remember there was a change pre-10 I think which broke a lot of automation when there was some renaming).

Does it just install over the top or does it add a new version, and if it just replaces the old copy, does the spectral change anything in old projects or does it only matter if it's activated?

I install over the top and the existing copies are replaced. I've gone back to older versions a few times to check things too. I cannot comment on the spectral changes though.

There shouldn't be any compatibility issues, at least I'm not aware of any.

I would report that to MeldaProductionelvisish wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 10:58 am Very disappointed that I finally braved updating and there are differences between autoalign, version 14 doesn't deliver the same sound as 11![]()
And get them to gice you a link to the v11 installer(s) should you need it.

I still have my old installer for 11, that's how I've been a/B-ing this, I even tested MDrumLeveller as it's really just MAUtoAlign that doesn't match for some reason.DarkStar wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:58 pmI would report that to MeldaProductionelvisish wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 10:58 am Very disappointed that I finally braved updating and there are differences between autoalign, version 14 doesn't deliver the same sound as 11![]()

Hmmm, that's quite odd, since we keep quite strict automatic backward compatibility testing. Can you be more specific about what has changed? E.g. install V11, make screenshots and render the output, do the same with V14/15. Please contact me via info@meldaproduction.com about that.

@meldaproduction is it perhaps because the master track button has been removed?
Here's v11 drums: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vyv-k8 ... sp=sharing
And here's v14: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RqZE9C ... sp=sharing
You can see that v14 actually sounds a lot better, but it's still not the same as 11. I did not rerun analyse at all, and I could switch back and forth between installing v11 and v14 with this exact project and it would render the exact same results each time depending on which version is installed.

Well, as I said, I'd really the project itself, perhaps something went wrong, who knows, but I have no other reports and no messages from the automatic bw compatibility check system.
