Interestingly enough Eventide solved this algorithmically though and everybody loves it.

Nice job. The cheap-looking UI is the best part.

ironically, i would buy that reverb. sound of a famous studio, and so much more control over sound than IK's one? where do i sign?

What, they wouldn't let you in, so we get a pair of IR's of the street?
I suppose the whoosh of passing traffic could pass for diffusion
or modulated noise  Is there a sampled clank from a loose
manhole cover that could be used for a click track?
Windows 9 compatible? Rush-hour pricing? :hyper:

Post

That reminds me of the official "bunch of IRs" for $349 that get you just the chambers (not all rooms and chambers and spring and plate reverbs in T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb) of another studio which also require a hardware buy-in on top of that, or the other bunches of IRs that listed for more than T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb's intro pricing for a bunch of IRs that get devalued to 29.99 on occasion.

Oooh come on now man  - That's not very professional ...

Peter sounds like a used car salesman with his shady marketing crap - it´s hilarious!

Meanwhile my vintage budget hardware reverbs shyt all over this IKM IR garbage!

Thank you for your input, but it seems it might be some of the audience rather than the messenger, since another audience seems to think this (not my words, this is another user's impression of this thread):
That KVR thread is brutal. So much anger over there and I'm not sure why. Maybe they got snubbed at the Grammys? Entitlement from free plug-ins? Either way...

On the actual topic for people actually interested, the audio demos are well-received and can be found at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/t ... hp?p=audio

The drums, for example, are sounding great (the opinion of others, to be clear, though I agree) like these:

Pop Drums Dry

Pop Drums Chamber 3

Pop Drums Live Room Studio 2

Post

Can't deny it, not that I'd want to, but those examples do sound great!
A bit fried in the higher freqs

exactly our point though. both are "just a bunch of IR's", but 1) for one of them, even the full retail price is not that much more than the full price of the other, 2) both will go on sale for ridiculous prices eventually ("devalued", as you say), and 3) $29 for a gazillion of IR's is much better value than (probably eventual sale price) $79 for 12 IR's. you shouldn't really throw stones in a glass house, IK plugins regularly get devalued by sales so much that people would literally sell them for transfer fee.

there are valid arguments to be made in defense of your product, but this? this ain't it, not with IK's track record of devaluing their own products. bear in mind, this is coming from a person who has had T-Racks full license since version 3 and is a huge fan of T-Racks in general. at $99 ($49 sale price) this probably would've been a great reverb. $149 intro, $249 full? you must be crazy.
