I don't recall saying that it's complicated. It's a stupid design decision.acYm wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:02 pmin what way does it "require scrolling", though?Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2020 2:35 pm Looking forward to seeing what V2 brings. The gui col definitely use an overhaul. If he updates that drum plugin too so that it shows the whole sequence rather than an idiotic 3/4 of the sequence, which requires scrolling, I might be interested in that too.
unless one click is scrolling, nowadays...
seriously, what part of it is complicated? if you could see only one bar at a time like in Nerve, then you can't stretch a note past the end of that bar and into the next one. therefore you see a bar and a half at a time, and you can click on bar one or bar two to select. what, do you literally click-hold the scroll bar and move it? LOL - dude, BT made this vst, not some idiot, and he made it for people who wouldn't have trouble getting the UI, no offense.
The stupid part is that the GUI is not that big, and they chose to only show 3/4 of the sequence at a time rather than the whole thing, which was easily possible. I'm glad you're happy that you get to see half of the second bar. That's really cool if you start with the assumption that you only get to see one bar at a time. And that may have been the design mentality. But I think that design decision was a giant brain fart, because nobody stopped to say "Hey wait, having just a bit of the sequence out of view is annoying, we could just show the whole sequence by making the sequence window 4/3 the size. Or even compress two bars into the current space! Or... heaven forbid, have an option to show either both bars or just one at a time." They call that last option zooming usually. And almost every sequencer has it. But I guess they didn't think of that.

it was released later but it was made in 2010, and designed for use with laptop screens from that era (i.e. it must be full screen on those I imagine).
not being forced to see 2 bars all the time is a good compromise for those who never make 2 bar long patterns.
for swing, you make a double note and offset it however you like, then copy that note.
if you need global swing you should be using nerve to begin with.

I can't get it to activate to my iLok account... it keeps giving me some web API error message when I try. I've sent off a support message, so hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I have not tried ver.2. Bought the first version here on KVRs secondhand market and sold it again pretty fast. IMO these BT plugins are wayyyyyy to expensive and in no way worth 200+ usd.

Stutter Edit meets ShaperBox, that' some plugin porn!
I use Stutter Edit in pretty much every track now, so will be getting this sooner or later
Upgrade from version 1 is prices 79 USD for me, instead of 199. That's fine I guess
