Ha, good catch. :tu:
What happens is:
Whenever you set the envelope to quadric or linear mode, the v-slope shape slider will be hidden.
But for envelope 1, this automagically also hides the ENV1 label. :dog:

Diva Rev. 9709 (VST2): seems to use less CPU, so that is good news. But I might have found a bug. If I use (probably a factory preset) the patch "HS Divanity", and change the DCO into a Triple VCO, the pitch changes (by a half step I think). Or if you change the DCO to a Dual VCO, and change the mix from all VCO 1 to half VCO 1 and half VCO 2, the two VCOs have different pitch. Maybe there is a sensible reason this is taking place? This was driving me crazy, until I modified a different HS patch that ended up working better for the song I'm working on. Mac OS 10.11.6 with Cubase AI8.

Not a bug; it's a consequence of the patch design. Global transpose is -1 in the Tuning section, with Env2 modulating the Osc tuning in the opposite direction to get a subtle bend. Changing the Osc type breaks the patch's tuning unless you apply the same Env2 tuning modulation to the oscillators used.

Post

btw,
Thank you for replying! I thought I tinkered with that to no avail (though I don't think I did anything with Env2 tuning), though you're probably correct. I will try to remember to tinker with that some more in the near future.

Interesting! I'll try and remember to switch on equivalent (or at least sensible) settings for each oscillator type in future. E.g. for TRIPLE VCO in "Divanity" switch on pitch modulation for oscillators 1 and 2, and change Osc2 octave to 4'.

Howard,
I haven't experimented with the HS Divanity patch yet, though thank you for replying!

Will Colour Copy eventually also get a VST3 and GUI speed update?

Yeah eventually.

Hi all,
Like another one (peke) in this thread, i encounter a bug on the latest release of Diva. It never happens before this upgrade (my system : Cubase 10.5 Windows 10 64 bits) : when i play a patch and some chords, after a variable time, if i change some parameters (enveloppe, filter, ...) there is a hanging note who appears even when i stop to play. If i toggle to an another patch, the hanging note stops. I failed to determine the function who is responsible for this. I suspect the new voice stealing algorithm ... maybe ... Is there someone else who encounter this problem ? (sorry for my bad english !!!)

Post

If there is a hanging note issue, we have not been able to reproduce it. It would be great to get a MIDI file or another working procedure to figure this out.

Post

There is one thing, i noticed tonight : when i play some chords and, at the same time, i switch rapidly (ten or more times) from one ARP patch to another ARP patch for example, the hanging note happened when i stop to play ...
I don’t know if this can help to understand this phenomenom and to reproduce it ...
Anyway, i am the proud owner of quite all the u-he products (they are so terrificly good sounding and so well engineered) but i encounter this problem only with the last diva update ...

Hey, thanks a lot, the mentioning of the arpeggiator brought us on the right track. :tu:
We could reproduce a scenario which sometimes leads to a hanging note.

I am very happy to hear that you can reproduce this behaviour. I look forward to the next update because i love so much my DIVA ! Thanks.

I have just tried the new Diva demo and I must say I am pretty surprised to see I could not make it crackle. In the past, even with multicore on and lower settings, all of my computers were suffocating on pads and strings. Nice update, I must say!
Wish all the best,
David
