I am sad, I sold Repro, because I never use it. Today I listened to a little ditty, this synth sounds so great!

When it comes to super fine sound editing though, you soon reach the limits in Repro, limits which were added by purpose. I mean the missing 16 slot mod matrix! Why it is so limited here? And then LFO2+3 and ENV3.

Why? :x

What about "Repro 2 Extended", providing the same engine and filters, but also comfortable modulation capabilities. Any plans here? If you add this, I will re-buy Repro.

I agree. I wish Repro has more modulation options.

If someone gave you a Prophet-5, would you never use it due to the same limitations that keep you from using Repro?

Same here. I don't need a full matrix. I'm fine with the 2 slots visible at a time even so that the GUI doesn't have to change. But just at least an A/B view to give 4 slots, or A/B/B or whatever. I can understand them not wanting to redesign the GUI to allow more modulation but it's seems like a tab or two wouldn't change it much. Given that it's mpe-ish it needs a couple more slots anyways.

I also still don't get why the mod source shows as a host parameter but the destination doesn't. Are the destinations really that much more likely to change than the sources? Could just have some extra menu slots anyways...

Personally, those limitations don’t keep me from using Repro, and certainly wouldn’t stop me from using a 5 if someone gave one to me. ;-)

But just as Sequential updated the 5 with the sequencer in the 6, and beyond with the Rev 2, further enhancements would be welcome.

Well, even there was a Repro 2 Professional version, you would not be forced to use more than two slots only. So more slots won't hurt you guys who do not need it

Yup. I only would use it for some specific type of sounds. But the engine of repro is so high quality, that those limitations are a shame. I then use Zebra, which sounds great, too. In the end then I use Zebra for all, because there are no workarounds required. Everything, every shape, every modulation I can imagine is possible. But still, the filter and so in Repro sound upper class.

I certainly wouldn't say no to 2 to 6 more mod slots, bringing it up to 4 or 8 respectively, or a second LFO and any other modulation options. They could be nice improvements. That said, I'm completely happy with the product as-is. At some point, you have to draw the line somewhere because there's will always be someone out there saying, "but if it just had this one more thing..."

+1
i'd love to have an extensive matrix or alike in repro...

Sure, the GUI itself is a masterpiece of pixelart, and because its so carefully designed, an extension / change of it would be a lot of effort. Actually I would not mind at all, if Repro 2 XXL would not come with such a pixelart gui, but instead a very simple, functional skin - if that makes the effort smaller.

I don't think the GUI design plays any role here. I suspect that "too many" modulation slots could add significantly to the CPU usage.

At the very least, since there are only 2 mod slots, I'd like to see a switch in tweaks to get mod wheel modulation to respond to mpe timbre, which functions like a polyphonic modwheel. Then at least you could use the mod wheel assignments polyphonically with a typical mpe setup (timbre = cc74).

I've never wanted more than four modulation slots with the current modulation options, but I've often wanted more than two. Aftertouch and expression pedal eat everything up.

2 more is something I guess we could live with.

2 more would be perfect...
