Possible? Can't get Program Changes to MB plugins inside MXXX

Win 10, Reaper 6.03 & Ableton 10.1.7, vst2 & vst3.

I thought several months ago I was able to do this, but now on v14.03 its not working for me:
For MB plugins inside MXXX and MXXX1, sending Program Change (or CC when in "Simulate program change via controller" mode) produces no response.

I can see that my midi routing is ok because MXXX itself does respond properly. And I am able to attach a midi controller to a multiparameter for an MB plugin (in the MB plugins own MPs, not only MXXX's MPs, which also work).

I suppose the new Module Banks feature is the preferred way to change presets for modules inside MXXX.

Yes, this is not possible, sorry. And banks would be much better solution. In any case this is kinda impossible to use live / for rendering, since it needs to be calculated in a background thread for which the main engine cannot wait.
